    I *have* seen that!! I've caught a few episodes and I swear, it's always an angle I haven't considered! Schama is certainly a character, and he really does focus on the unseen symbology in the paintings.

    David - he did "Oath of the Horatii" didn't he? One of my favorite paintings.

    That was riveting, wasn't it?! I only know a bit about French Revolutionary history, so it was quite an education.
