    Default NFP Questionnaire

Hey guys, just curious about the differences and similarities between INFP's and ENFP's. I'd love if you guys would weigh in. Feel free to skip as many questions as you want, or ask yourself a more interesting question. I suspect answering all of my questions would be extremely time-consuming.

I'm starting with the two types I'm most familiar with, and we'll see how it goes from there. I eventually want to do an ISTJ vs. INTJ questionnaire as well. I really like comparing and contrasting different types.

    1. Type/Gender/Age (gender/age are optional of course!)

    2. I've often heard ENFP's are the most introverted types, and that INFP's with strong N can mistake themselves for ENFP's. ENFP's, do you relate to the title of introverted extravert? INFP's: same question but in reverse.

    3. How does your auxilary function manifest itself?

    4. How would others describe you? How would you describe yourself?

    5. How do you react to being put on the spot?

    6. How does your inferior manifest itself?

    7. How do/did you perform in school? What were your strengths and weaknesses as a student?

    8. Do you journal/blog? What are the things you usually focus on in your journal. I ask that in a general sense, I'm not looking for specific events on your life you wrote about, but if you don't mind including specifics, feel free.

    9. Do you have an easy time hiding your feelings from others? When do you usually hide your feelings?

    10. What types do you click with the best, what types do you clash with worst?

    11. How do you feel about sex? Is it a positive healthy thing in your life?

    12. How do you make friends (Geographical convenience/mutual interests/shared values)? Do you tend to initiate the friendship, or does it just sort of happen?

    13. Same question as 12, but about romantic relationships.

    14. Do you mind being alone?

    1) I type as INFP. I am Male. Aged: 26 (I'm a fucking dinosaur).

    2) I am ever sceptical of this "most introverted extrovert" rhetoric. I think its either a) a fundamental misunderstanding on what introversion is or b) they are just as extroverted as others but their extroversion focuses more on patterns and objects rather than it does on people and this confuses them. As for me, I have a good facility of Ne and in situations of discussion I can utilise it in presumably the manner an ENFP can use it.

    3) See above. It usually operates at half strength - allowing me to reflect and think about ideas or concepts which jump from one subject to another and one direction to another. In social situations I am comfortable with it takes on a life of its own.

    4) I would not know how others describe me. I do not ask them. I would assume it would be commentary about my outer appearance which aren't applicable to my personality at large. I would describe myself in many different ways. Some positive and some negative.

    5) Historically it has been shyness and/or nervousness. Now it rests on whether I have the knowledge and/or confidence to promptly answer.

    6) Many ways. I have a complex relationship with it. There is a rawness to it which can cause overreaction when I am under stress. When angry I become like the Incredible Hulk. Normally it operates like a magma river deep inside my inner world and is probably the cause behind hyper-criticism of the self and negative and/or cynical opinions of others.

    7) I did well in school academically. I can't say the same thing in terms of being social. I was an outcast and whenever the library or computer room was closed I was forced to wander around in a school which didn't grant you many places for solitude and contemplation. At school I daydreamed my years away yet somehow still passed tests. I was a dumbass some day and the smartest kid in the class on others. My joint strength and weaknesses was inconsistency. I could rise to the challenge when I wanted to but at critical times I was apathetic. Other than that I have always enjoyed good spelling (though poor grammar) and a good writing ability which allowed me to cruise through my English classes (atypical of my type.)

    8) Historically I have. I have a Livejournal account which is now almost ten years old yet there are only a handful of entries. It is a time capsule with a limited ability to fuel self-reflection. I also keep a vacation journal which started as a one-off several years back but has now become routine. In them I talk about many things: my life, myself, my world, my past and my future.

    9) My feelings are usually hidden and are easy to keep that way. I have no desire to share and others have no desire to know. The only feelings and emotions I usually express are frustration/anger and amusement.

    10) I have no favourite type. One of the reasons I do not pursue relationships is because I see every path leading solely to regret. I like and dislike (despite my pleasurable typist snipes) on an individual basis but many people I like I have no desire to socialise with beyond the level it is necessary.

    11) I do not have sex. I don't really want to and even if I did I would be unlikely to find a potential candidate outside of a brothel.

    12) Usually friendships for me are products of circumstance. Many "friendships" of mine are long-term acquaintances with work colleagues. When you must co-operate and converse with someone for many hours a week bonding and bridge building is necessary. Nobody approaches me outside of work and likewise I do not approach others.

    13) My colleagues have no desire for romance so my love life does not exist.

    14) Solitude? Yes. Loneliness? No. It depends on my mood but most times I enjoy it. The world outside the self is transient and slips through your fingers. The inner world of the self however will be with you as an integral part wherever you go and whatever you do until the day you die.

[QUOTE=Forever_Jung;2156888]Hey guys, just curious about the differences and similarities between INFP's and ENFP's.

ENFP, 7w6, female, 27 years old

    2. I've often heard ENFP's are the most introverted types, and that INFP's with strong N can mistake themselves for ENFP's. ENFP's, do you relate to the title of introverted extravert? INFP's: same question but in reverse.
Yeah, I definitely need time to myself. I kind of take it on my own though, even if I'm around people. I can just kinda zone out and go into my head and that's solid alone time for me lol.

    3. How does your auxilary function manifest itself?
Rants and a fire inside. It drives and directs me.

    4. How would others describe you? How would you describe yourself?
    Others: happy, friendly, eccentric
    Me: interested, scattered, dreamy

    5. How do you react to being put on the spot?
Ehh, don't love it, but I do my best. Really depends on what I'm being expected to do.

    6. How does your inferior manifest itself?
hm, trying to be overly meticulous. getting really critical and preoccupied with imperfections.

    7. How do/did you perform in school? What were your strengths and weaknesses as a student?
I did well in school. Good grades, wanted to take challenging classes and learn. Never was a very diligent studier though. Strong at English, some sciences (biology, geology, psychology). Weaker in math and history (dates and names were tough for me).

    8. Do you journal/blog? What are the things you usually focus on in your journal. I ask that in a general sense, I'm not looking for specific events on your life you wrote about, but if you don't mind including specifics, feel free.
I dabble, but I've never been able to stick to it for very long. It can be quite enjoyable and helpful for me when I do though.

    9. Do you have an easy time hiding your feelings from others? When do you usually hide your feelings?
I don't usually hide my feelings, I have a harder time being in touch with them myself, so I can be a little "flatter" for that reason sometimes.
When I am aware of my emotions, I try very hard to express them articulately in order to deal with them.

    10. What types do you click with the best, what types do you clash with worst?
I dunno. I tend to have a lot of ENFJ, INTJ, INFJ, INFP connections, but I generally like people of all types.

    11. How do you feel about sex? Is it a positive healthy thing in your life?
I think sex takes you to a very intimate place with yourself and your partner. I think it's healthy to be able to go there and share love with physical expression and in an honest and comfortable way. Awkward sex life is an indicator of deeper problems in my experience.

    12. How do you make friends (Geographical convenience/mutual interests/shared values)? Do you tend to initiate the friendship, or does it just sort of happen?
Mutual interest or shared values. I do tend to initiate friendships, but am open to being on the receiving end as well.

    13. Same question as 12, but about romantic relationships.
    Same answer.

    14. Do you mind being alone?
Short answer: yes. I really need to be sometimes though.
    You hem me in -- behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

Ohh, yay, a questionnaire! I haven't done one in quite a while. Thanks, @Forever_Jung!

    1. Type/Gender/Age

    ENFP 6w7 soc/sx, female, 25.

    2. I've often heard ENFP's are the most introverted types, and that INFP's with strong N can mistake themselves for ENFP's. ENFP's, do you relate to the title of introverted extravert? INFP's: same question but in reverse.

Yes, I definitely relate. I would call myself at least socially ambiverted if not introverted. I am the "supine" type that desires interaction but would prefer someone else to initiate it.

    3. How does your auxilary function manifest itself?

Fi is my inner flame and my guiding light. When everything outside is getting too much, I try to feel into my heart-center and find the wisdom there. It manifests in strong values, an endless quest for meaning, and deep compassion and empathy.

    4. How would others describe you? How would you describe yourself?

Others have described me as kind, quiet, artistic, intelligent, emotional, defensive, thinking too much, and overly sensitive. Some friend/coworkers at my job have taken to calling me "mom" lately, lol, because I tend to try to take care of others. I would describe myself as curious, warm, idealistic, analytical, protective, aesthetic, and hypersensitive. I am good at making people feel genuinely cared for and empowered. I struggle to self-direct, and to control my emotions.

    5. How do you react to being put on the spot?

It makes me uncomfortable. I don't think I usually do horribly but I much prefer to have preparation time.

Sometimes I get lucky and think of something witty to say.

    6. How does your inferior manifest itself?

I think, especially when I am tired or feeling down, I tend to seek comfort and familiarity. I also get the standard ENxP stress-induced hypochondria and obsessiveness. On the upside, I have a deep appreciation for internal experience of pleasing sensation, if I have the willpower to keep aware of it. In a strange NeSi way, it pleases me to be a part of repeating patterns.

    7. How do/did you perform in school? What were your strengths and weaknesses as a student?

Generally very well, minus a bump or two along the way. I enjoy learning, and I enjoy pleasing my parents and teachers. My strengths are in endless curiosity, good transitioning between theory and application, and good ability to conceptualize. My weaknesses are in grasping bottom-up information (starting with details and building towards larger concepts), procrastination, and perfectionism. Perfectionism has really been my Achilles heel.

    8. Do you journal/blog? What are the things you usually focus on in your journal. I ask that in a general sense, I'm not looking for specific events on your life you wrote about, but if you don't mind including specifics, feel free.

I don't very regularly. When I do, I tend to focus on romantic relationships, designing, and future planning, and mostly whatever the "big project" in my life at the moment is. I love dreaming about what I hope will be. I tend to doodle my ideas a lot, as well.

I also used to write little love stories.

    9. Do you have an easy time hiding your feelings from others? When do you usually hide your feelings?

I naturally tend to show my feelings and it requires a lot of effort for me to hide them. The closer I am to someone, the more I tend to show feelings around them. I hide them most at work and in public.

    10. What types do you click with the best, what types do you clash with worst?

I seem to get along very well with FJs in general.

Clashing seems to be more about attitudes than types, but it seems to happen with IxxP 4s and 5s more than any other group. I think it's the contrast with the E and 6, the external-internal thing.

    11. How do you feel about sex? Is it a positive healthy thing in your life?

It is! I feel lucky to have safe, regular, and very satisfying sex with the man I love. As for sex in general, I'm going into a healthcare career and I intend to encourage focus on sex education and safe sex practices.

    12. How do you make friends (Geographical convenience/mutual interests/shared values)? Do you tend to initiate the friendship, or does it just sort of happen?

Usually geographical convenience, I think, overlapping with complementary personalities. "Clicking". Shared interests and values make for closer friends. I tend to push drawing closer but am shy and hesitant about it at the same time. I don't like making others feel pressured or exposed.

    13. Same question as 12, but about romantic relationships.

I really tend to be drawn to people who have strong values and intellect and project them into their environments, but who also have a bit of a "shell" guarding their internal emotions. Mutual interests are important to me in a relationship, but mutual values are absolutely paramount. I'm very, very intentional about my romantic relationships. As for behavior - I definitely initiate intimacy. It was an interesting experience to be pursued by my current boyfriend when we were dating because I'm usually the pursuer, though I try to be subtle and gentle about it. Ever since we decided to make our relationship formal, I am back to my usual role. That is fine with me. It has its frustrations but it is my more natural state.

    14. Do you mind being alone?

It's really nice for short periods of time, but I don't like to be alone very often or for very long. I'm on Fall Break today and spending some very lovely alone time parked on my couch.

I was thinking about the INFP/ENFP difference... for one, ENFPs seem to spend a lot more mental energy invested in the immediate external world. I think INFPs do a lot of thinking related to the external world - extrapolating values, etc. - but not necessarily very direct 1-to-1 with it. ENFPs tend to have a more dynamic, moment-to-moment interaction with the external, while INFPs seem to be like bastions from the fray, with a slower exchange pattern which allows them to refine and deepen their personal selves more unaffected by the throes of the external. ENFPs also seem to use their F to connect with everything else, while for INFPs F is a purpose in and unto itself, and can be engaged without greater perspective, though the greater perspective augments it. For an ENFP, I think F has to be anchored in the greater scheme for it to feel worthwhile. I assume N works for both in the exact opposite ways.

yup. I'm pretty reclusive most of the time to be honest. I prefer interaction in small groups, have limited energy and need lots of time alone to keep my sanity

    3. How does your auxilary function manifest itself?
it gives me strong conviction and backbone. I will fight tooth and nail for my beliefs and anyone who gets in the way is gonna get demolished (fuck all these butterfly chasing descriptions of ENFPs all over the internet. we will rip your shit up if you step on our values)

    4. How would others describe you? How would you describe yourself?
others: uppity, charismatic, intense, friendly, mysterious, opinionated,
myself: convicted, heroic, dramatic, ambitious, dignified, arrogant, lazy,

    5. How do you react to being put on the spot?
I tell them "I wasn't given time to prepare, so tough luck. if you want me to do something for you, I must be notified well in advance"
not that I mind this though, the reaction it elicits amuses me (don't blame me. YOU caused your own butthurt by not notifying me in advance)

    6. How does your inferior manifest itself?
playing the same video games over and over, being anal about my tea preparation

    7. How do/did you perform in school? What were your strengths and weaknesses as a student?
GPA: 3.2 (should be a bit higher after this semester)
strengths: discussion oriented courses, grasping concepts quickly, test taking, history
weaknesses: rote memorization, technical classes, super precise classes (like chemistry labs)

    8. Do you journal/blog? What are the things you usually focus on in your journal. I ask that in a general sense, I'm not looking for specific events on your life you wrote about, but if you don't mind including specifics, feel free.

    best: other FPs, INTJs
worst: all Fe/Ti users (with the exception of the occasional ENTP, ISFJ or ISTP I end up liking)

    11. How do you feel about sex?
I love it, though foreplay and cuddling are the best part. I like gentle, intimate sex that others would describe as beautiful
on the kinkier side, I'm into watching my partner shower (with him pretending I'm not there) and giving oral while he's asleep

Is it a positive healthy thing in your life?
    hell yeah

    12. How do you make friends (Geographical convenience/mutual interests/shared values)? Do you tend to initiate the friendship, or does it just sort of happen?
mutual interests and shared values, but mostly it just kinda clicks. I initiate about 50% of the time

    13. Same question as 12, but about romantic relationships.
    criteria includes
    1) does he give me a boner (I'm pretty picky about looks, but I'll keep it simple and spare you the list)?
    2) does he live close by?
    3) do we have chemistry?
    4) can he hold a conversation?

    if yes to all these....
    5) are there any logistical issues (relationship status, religious issues, etc) that would keep us apart
if not, BOOM! I just found a potential partner

    14. Do you mind being alone?

    ENFP, female, 20

    2. I've often heard ENFP's are the most introverted types, and that INFP's with strong N can mistake themselves for ENFP's. ENFP's, do you relate to the title of introverted extravert? INFP's: same question but in reverse.
I was typed as INFP before. I know my N is really strong and this is the reason why I typed as ENFP, but to be honest I continue to doubt my I/E.

    3. How does your auxilary function manifest itself?
I am very confident about my beliefs, ideas and opinions. I need to stay true to who I am and to what I want in my life to feel in harmony with myself. I am also very sensitive and sometimes can't accept critics.

    4. How would others describe you? How would you describe yourself?
Others: Talkative, fun loving, sociable, easy going, smart, knowledgeable, arstistic, aesthetic, original, careless, selfish, egocentric, non emotional, lazy
Me: Shy, moody, melancholic, artistic, aesthetic, original, sensitive, egocentric, , indecisive, lazy, smart

    5. How do you react to being put on the spot?

Sometimes I tend to be a little show off and melodramatic, I try to make myself look smarter and show my abilities to others, but I am also shy and reserved.

    6. How does your inferior manifest itself?
I think it makes me smart, knowledgeable and quick to learn new theories. But also critical, sarcastic and a bit dry.

    7. How do/did you perform in school? What were your strengths and weaknesses as a student?
I've always knew how to use language to make me sound smarter, or to predent I know more about the topic, than I really do. This was pretty great tool, that helped me a lot. I was good at languages.

    8. Do you journal/blog? What are the things you usually focus on in your journal. I ask that in a general sense, I'm not looking for specific events on your life you wrote about, but if you don't mind including specifics, feel free.
I still have a journal, but I don't write so often anymore. I don't write about events, but about my feelings, or causes with I deal inside. I do have a tumblr and it's mostly about my feelings and music. http://sophiadeep.tumblr.com/

    9. Do you have an easy time hiding your feelings from others? When do you usually hide your feelings?

Yes and I do it all the time. I do it to the point, that when I decided I want to stop I just can't. I learned to pretend being happy and fun a lot, and now I don't now what I pretend anymore.

    10. What types do you click with the best, what types do you clash with worst?
SFP types are my best friends. I dislike SJs and ENxJs.

    11. How do you feel about sex? Is it a positive healthy thing in your life?

    Sure it is
    12. How do you make friends (Geographical convenience/mutual interests/shared values)? Do you tend to initiate the friendship, or does it just sort of happen?

I make friends based on shared hobbies. I am too shy to initiate the friendship, so I always wait for the other person to make the first step.

    13. Same question as 12, but about romantic relationships.

Hobbies, opinions, values... I would never make the first step! Like really never ever in my life.
    14. Do you mind being alone?
Yes I dsilike it. Much rather I spend time with my friends.

    1. Type/Gender/Age (gender/age are optional of course!)
    INFP, Female, 30

    2. I've often heard ENFP's are the most introverted types, and that INFP's with strong N can mistake themselves for ENFP's. ENFP's, do you relate to the title of introverted extravert? INFP's: same question but in reverse.
In a way, but I think this has more to do with being a Social dom. To people that don't know me well, I can seem ENFP-like in certain circumstances, especially after a few drinks. I'm sure I seem humourless on the forum but IRL it can be difficult to get me to be serious. I'm rather shy and it can manifest in strange ways: I'm mostly extremely socially withdrawn but on occasion I can seem very outgoing (in an awkward, off-beat way). Ultimately I'm too lost in my own head and anti-social to be a extrovert.

    3. How does your auxilary function manifest itself?
Loopyness and quirk. My humour. Holistic thinking. Adaptability. Always considering the implications. Always connecting situations/ideas/phrases to something else. When it's at it's best it can be like mental fireworks.

    4. How would others describe you? How would you describe yourself?
I guess people find me off-beat and my demeanour to be shifting and irregular; I don't seem to have a consistent pace. I suppose that makes me difficult to work out and keep track of. People see me as cerebral, silly and sarcastic. I suppose most people find me agreeable enough; I'm neither loved or hated.

I would say I'm sensitive, dreamy and introspective. A deep thinker and feeler. I'm shy and awkward, even if I don't always seem like I am. In many ways I'm better with kids than adults. I tend follow where my mind wanders to, even if it's away from the immediate social setting. People and situations only have my attention if the ideas being shared grab me or challenge me enough, and most things don't really do that for me (although politeness often demands my attention).

    5. How do you react to being put on the spot?
Depends. If it's something I find rather daunting or unpleasant, I will be rather annoyed and difficult about it - I need to mental work up to those things. If it's a choice I have to make relating to minor personal preference, I can be quite indecisive. In other ways I can be spontaneous, or at least go with the flow without much worry.

    6. How does your inferior manifest itself?
It's the little drill sergeant in my head that tells me off all the time for being lazy or disorganised, or for avoiding doing something I should. It brings my individual evaluations and judgements back to universality. It also brings clarity and allows me to cut through things that I make overly complex in my head - to find a clear path in the confusion. It helps out on those rare occasions when I want to assert myself.

    7. How do/did you perform in school? What were your strengths and weaknesses as a student?
I was above average but I was a bit of a underachiever - I made an effort but I never really lived up to my potential (I think now that I actually may have a learning disability). I was good at pretty much every subject and could pick up anything easily. I had a passion for English and the Arts but I got more consistently high marks in Maths and Science. I had trouble with aspects of some subjects or with certain teachers at various times when I didn't really get the Ne explanation with things; despite comprehending the material, it was like feeling about in the dark for me. I'm not good at essay writing in exams, as it forces you to put ideas together in a linear fashion which is something I seriously struggle with (probably partly because of the LD too - I have difficulty with writing by hand).

    8. Do you journal/blog? What are the things you usually focus on in your journal. I ask that in a general sense, I'm not looking for specific events on your life you wrote about, but if you don't mind including specifics, feel free.
I never have the patience to do proper journals or blogs. I sometimes write out thoughts I have about a particular situation or idea - it's generally a bit soapbox-y. Mostly it's just things that grab me: something funny I found or some song that I'm obsessed about.

    9. Do you have an easy time hiding your feelings from others? When do you usually hide your feelings?
I don't usually hide what I call shallow feelings: simple, superficial, temporary emotions I feel immediately in the moment. I will conceal things like annoyance at times, so that I don't inflict my bad mood on others. The deep, complex, intense, enduring feelings I almost always keep to myself, however I might occasionally give people a little taste of them.

    10. What types do you click with the best, what types do you clash with worst?
I get along with all types, although some have generated more positive or negative experience than others. ESTPs haven't been so kind to me in the past (a lot of bullying). They seemed to hone in on the fact I'm sensitive and different, and punished me for it. I have the most love for the ENFx - I'm attracted to their warmth, charisma and enthusiasm, and how they balance an ability to connect with others with typically less than popular traits (eg. nerdiness, curiosity, earnestness, depth of feeling, introspection, being outside the box etc).

    11. How do you feel about sex? Is it a positive healthy thing in your life?
    Not having any right now.

    12. How do you make friends (Geographical convenience/mutual interests/shared values)? Do you tend to initiate the friendship, or does it just sort of happen?
It's something that just happens. I certainly don't do much initiating. The good friends I've had usually share a mindset: eg. similar humour or way of seeing the world. When I travelled overseas I made friends that I had little in common with, because it was more about shared experience.

    13. Same question as 12, but about romantic relationships.
I'm gonna be evasive and not answer this.

    14. Do you mind being alone?
No. I enjoy it more than nearly any other person I know. I can stare at a wall for hours and just be entertained by my own thoughts. If I do it too much it can start to take its toll. I need people to occasionally lift my head up and make me connect with the world again.

Thanks for the responses guys! I didn't really think it through how hard it would be to respond to these properly, but I'll figure it out soon enough. By the way, Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

    1. Type/Gender/Age (gender/age are optional of course!) INFP, female, thirtysomething

    2. I've often heard ENFP's are the most introverted types, and that INFP's with strong N can mistake themselves for ENFP's. ENFP's, do you relate to the title of introverted extravert? INFP's: same question but in reverse. I am very introverted, so no.

    3. How does your auxilary function manifest itself? It helps me consider all the possibilities/options. It tends to get me excited. I kind of 'geek out' with it. When working best it helps me gain perspective, see all sides and take other people's motivations/ pov into consideration. It brings cool metaphors into my head that help me explain my personal experience/deepest feelings.

    4. How would others describe you? Most people, probably quiet, smart, creative. How would you describe yourself? Internally intense and emotional, externally reserved. Unless I'm with the right person. Then I'm talkative, excited, and expressive.

    5. How do you react to being put on the spot? Deer in headlights.

    6. How does your inferior manifest itself? I start making lists, try to micromanage my time. Beat myself up for not being more organized. I completely suck at time management, but if I have a deadline I'm never late.

    7. How do/did you perform in school? What were your strengths and weaknesses as a student? In high school I was an Honors student. Got scholarships and all that, but I was also the Honors student with the lowest cumulative GPA. I was abysmal at math once I entered high school, science hit or miss. All I cared about, really, was the humanities and foreign languages. I did really well in college in the classes that I was interested in, but I've never really cared about school. I just like to learn and I typically teach myself.

    8. Do you journal/blog? What are the things you usually focus on in your journal. I ask that in a general sense, I'm not looking for specific events on your life you wrote about, but if you don't mind including specifics, feel free. I used to journal like crazy, less so now. I usually focus on my feelings. In a way it can feel counterproductive to journal, so I write poetry or do visual art more instead. That way I'm truly getting it out and transforming it into something vs just keeping it to myself.

    9. Do you have an easy time hiding your feelings from others? When do you usually hide your feelings? Hmm, yes and no. I might not come out and say them, but I have an expressive face. I usually hide my feelings because I feel too exposed and vulnerable when I let them out. And they are so powerful. Often they are misinterpreted by others and too much for them. But sometimes it's impossible to contain them or it feels like it's important to express my feelings and they all come out.

    10. What types do you click with the best, what types do you clash with worst? For me it's more of an instinct thing than a mbti thing.

    11. How do you feel about sex? Is it a positive healthy thing in your life? Sometimes it's the most problematic, worst thing, sometimes it's the most amazing thing. Depends. Lately it's been for the most part pretty spectacular.

    12. How do you make friends (Geographical convenience/mutual interests/shared values)? Do you tend to initiate the friendship, or does it just sort of happen? It's rare for me to make a friend, but it's typically more of a kindred spirit/soul mate feeling. It usually just happens. I really don't need more than one good friend, at the most two or three.

    13. Same question as 12, but about romantic relationships. Romantic relationships I'm more drawn for some inexplicable reason. Lots of moth to flame with me getting hurt. I've been married for a pretty long time though so less of an issue these days.

    14. Do you mind being alone? I love being alone unless I'm truly alone, as in no soul mate/ kindred spirit. Then life is hell. But as far as spending long periods of time alone, my God I need it. I'm usually alone around 4-8 hours a day.

    1. Type/Gender/Age (gender/age are optional of course!)

    ENFP / female / 41

    2. I've often heard ENFP's are the most introverted types, and that INFP's with strong N can mistake themselves for ENFP's. ENFP's, do you relate to the title of introverted extravert? INFP's: same question but in reverse.

Definitely go into introversion mode when I've been emotionally hurt, shocked or have some serious things challenging my values. I also require introversion time to recharge.

    3. How does your auxilary function manifest itself?

    I think I covered it in 2.

    4. How would others describe you? How would you describe yourself?

bubbly, bold, crazy, funny, passionate, good mother. I would describe same.

    5. How do you react to being put on the spot?

I pretty much hate it and often say the wrong thing. uggh. But getting better as I age- like a fine wine. lol

    6. How does your inferior manifest itself?

Hardly ever. I think only when I am feeling LOSS I will reflect on memories and moments and try to find meaning in them.

    7. How do/did you perform in school? What were your strengths and weaknesses as a student?

Straight As till I hit puberty then I couldn't rein in my socialability and grades dipped. But writing and english were my top subjects. As well as foreign language. And I did well in all subjects overall.

    8. Do you journal/blog? What are the things you usually focus on in your journal. I ask that in a general sense, I'm not looking for specific events on your life you wrote about, but if you don't mind including specifics, feel free.

Yep! family topics and also political

    9. Do you have an easy time hiding your feelings from others? When do you usually hide your feelings?

Not really. But from strangers that I don't trust- I hide my feelings. Or try to anyway.

    10. What types do you click with the best, what types do you clash with worst?

I click and clash with NTs. It's love/hate.
I get along really well with ISFJ/ESFJ/ENFJ/ESFP

    11. How do you feel about sex? Is it a positive healthy thing in your life?

It's a must have. I try to accept the ups and downs of passion in a physical relationship. I will always desire top-of-the-line passion in my sex life and I try to teach myself that this is unrealistic and to enjoy sex in all different modes. Thru all the ups and down- pardon the pun.

    12. How do you make friends (Geographical convenience/mutual interests/shared values)? Do you tend to initiate the friendship, or does it just sort of happen?

As far as NEW freindships that I develop are almost always from people who share my passions in politics, religion and world view.

    13. Same question as 12, but about romantic relationships.

    n/a

    14. Do you mind being alone?

When young yes I did. Now- I LOVE and crave it and need it.
