The thought of "belonging" to some group usually makes me feel like I am being choked.

Just to clarify (I do struggle with that whole thinking before speaking thing at times!) it's more about self awareness rather than "belonging" per se. In my eyes, it has that whole searching-for-an-identity thing that is so quintessentially NF.

(Ignore the Grey's Anatomy clips and just listen to the music lol) YouTube - Grey's Anatomy - You Wouldn't Like Me

Most of the songs posted I don't really relate to. I think Tegan and Sara could possibly both be NFs, considering most of their songs are packed full of (or about) emotions.

I think so too, possibly. And looking at some interviews Sara definitely seems like she could be a mature INFJ or INFP.

Anyway, I used to listen to Our Lady Peace a lot, growing up in the 90's heh. I always felt their music resonated a lot with me, so I think it's pretty NF.

YouTube - Our Lady Peace - Supersatellite

i've read the bible, i've read Dylan,
i'm reading people now
because it is much more chilling
i sit on a satellite
with the stars made of gold
there's life through that hollow lens
i know supersatellite
i watch the traffic,
i find the seeds
there's one man in particular
who's not what he seems
i can't focus in
on the lies in his head
he's convinced that his blood is blue
but it's red
supersatellite
nothing dazzles me,
i am in his dreams
nothing is shocking,
transparent human being

YouTube - Our Lady Peace - Thief

I don't want to understand this horror
There's a weight in your eyes that I can't admit
Everybody ends up here in bottles
But the name tag's the last thing you wanted

As the world explodes we fall out of it
And we can't let go because this will not go away
There's a house built out in space...

I can't see that thief that lives inside of your head
But I can be some courage at the side of your bed
And I don't know what's happening and I can't pretend
But I can be your... be your...

Someone help us understand who ordered
This disgusting arrangement with time and the end
I don't want to hear who walked on water
Because the hallways are empty and the clock ticks

As the world implodes we fall into it
And we can't go home because this will not go away
There's a house built out in space...

Another band I used to listen to a lot growing up was Incubus, and I think some of their lyrics and music (especially from their 'Make Yourself' album) fits the NF theme too.

YouTube - Incubus-The Warmth

I'd like to close my eyes and go numb
but there's a cold wind coming from
the top of the highest high-rise today.
It's not a breeze cause' it blows hard.
Yes and it wants me to discard the humanity I know,
watch the warmth blow away.
So don't let the world bring you down.
Not everyone here is that fucked up and cold.
Remember why you came and while you're alive
experience the warmth before you grow old
Do you think I should adhere to that pressing new frontier?
And leave in my wake a trail of fear
Or should I hold my head up high
and throw a wrench in spokes by
leaving the air behind me clear?
Don't let the world bring you down.
Not everyone here is that fucked up and cold.
Remember why you came and while you're alive
experience the warmth before you grow old.

Ugh... this is easy! System of a Down?

YouTube - System of a Down - B.Y.O.B

I've seen the lead singer in interviews. He strikes me as very ENFJ although others have typed him as ESFP. I think that's ridiculous!

In many of the songs the lyrics relate back to people being mistreated or emphasize some abuse of power. "Why do they always send the poor?" 'nuff said!

Goodbye by Jade Valerie

I HATE that song. Give me the new and improved Radiohead any day! :wubbie:
But I'm a 7... so I'm not creepy enough...

New and Improved? Radiohead's like the Beatles... each phase is powerful and revealing in its own way... I would think NFs would really enjoy their early stuff like "The Bends"... songs like "Nice Dream", "Bullet Proof... I Wish I Was", "Street Spirit (Fade Out)", "High and Dry"... very appealing to Fi and quite accomplished artistically.

Street Spirit and Fake Plastic Trees are probably the songs I like off Bends. I can see Radioheads development in there but I'd rather not hear the entire album.
When compared with KidA and onwards - that's when experimentation started and the entire artistic experience is no longer 'quite accomplished' but leaves me blown away and speechless. That's what I like. Blissful icon here...
But for NF anthem from Radiohead... I've always identified with:
Myxomatosis - I am that cat I think
Scatterbrain - an EN?
Reckoner is an INF (probably P) anthem, I reckon...

Was Thom Yorke typed?
