No, we don't.

I do like some Enya, but "Only Time" is only OK.

You need to go back to a time when Enya was more pure:

And don't watch the video for the pure ... this was made way after the original music me thinks.

And even then, it's not about Enya, it's about ... something else she manages to convey. And that's the point too.

I've told you too much. ;)

Heh, I relate a lot to Andrew Bird and Gotye songs (and Bach). They speak to me.

If we're going to stick to that genre, give me Dead Can Dance / Lisa Gerrard, or Delirium, any day.

But really, this stuff only represents like 2% of my music collection, so... I'd probably have to say 'No' to the OP.

Not the world, the lyrics! :D

If feel so bad to say this…but when I read those lyrics/listen to that song…I am reminded of recently graduated highschool students walking out of an auditorium (while teary-eyed friends and family look-on thinking ‘they have there whole lives to look forward to!’).

I think I just have a difficult time putting NFs to music...and if I were to...it just wouldn't be that song LOL - but to each their own!

But I guess if I absolutely had to do it...I'd probably cram all the INFJs into a song like this...

All the ENFPs would probably get crammed into something a bit like (yah...I was on a little nutcracker kick over the holidays. so!)

And if I had to shove us all into an Enya song it would probably be this one...

I think Oakysage is brilliant when it comes to putting beautiful music into people's ears. If I was able to shrink myself into a note, I would live in one of his songs.

Why are you totally hitting on Oakysage right now? OMG I'm totally kidding. No...I'm writing because I didn't know he was a musician. Please direct me to this music.

Because it is every NFP's life mission to latch upon any and every INTJ we come across like the barnacle of love.

P.S. I would suggest moseying on over to his blog and being aurally dazzled by his awesomeness.

Ha! This is a funny thread! And I do love Enya!

I don't think I could say I live in that world exactly, but in the world of new age / ambient / chillout / downtempo and trip-hop in general...I could most certainly agree!

Now to listen to lots of Enya :D

Here is a more accurate depiction for me as an INFP:

I saw The H&H at the Showbox opening for Florence and The Machine. I was pretty 'meh' about it until the woman really let loose! Damn, she has some good energy.

You speak the truth my friend!

Thank you for this information. I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Many many thanks. I simply just like to make some music in my spare time. I'd wish I'd have had vocals for a few of them though...

Ah, I am not necessarily a musician. Tis just a spare time hobby.

Apparently that might be the case for ENFP's, but I'm not aware of any particular INFP-INTJ attraction factor nor of any more INFP-INTJ pairings than compared to any other type. I for one have no love NTJ's, nor have I particularly heard of that much from other INFP's.

When I am in an optimistic mood, (or trying to be) that song and this one are both songs that can give a sense of hope. An idealistic version of what I'd like to be is a good description of a lot of enya songs.

Enya - Only If

But those songs don't really represent more everyday normal moods... these do a better job of that.

Nightwish - Away

Eyes of Eden - Sleeping Minds

On the opposite end of the spectrum, this one represens my darker moods.

Nox Arcana and Michelle Belanger - Bitter Ashes

Life cannot get any slower than this though. I need a faster counterpart. :D
