Where normal functioning of society is broken/displaced, I could kill for power.
Morals to me are highly dependent on the situation at hand. That said, I have an innate disgust for revenge-related stuff. If I ever kill, it's probably going to be more for a functional/practical reason than emotional. ...except in 'compassion', which I've done for animals and would do for people.
Magic 8-Ball Reading Kill to protect myself or another [innocent] person: Yes, definitely Kill to end someone's suffering: The future is uncertain. Kill for other reasons: All signs point to no. Kill a character as the natural progression of a dramatic narrative: Naturally. Kill a victim at the hands of another character, to further the plot: Casually. Kill incorrigible fluff posters: With relish. Kill myself: Under revision.

“Pleasure to me is wonder—the unexplored, the unexpected, the thing that is hidden and the changeless thing that lurks behind superficial mutability. To trace the remote in the immediate; the eternal in the ephemeral; the past in the present; the infinite in the finite; these are to me the springs of delight and beauty.” ~ H.P. Lovecraft
