i actually got busted using one earlier today. #fail

i should've added a poll feature - my guess is [fellow] ENFPs sprinkle these like confetti at a parade.

I can do it, all I have to be is in a more Te mindset, less thinking of others feelings or being cute or silly, more of "cut the crap"...though I've already used several emoticons today, I will begin from this moment.

Not using emoticons is more fun, in a way. People won't know if you're serious or not. Makes them wonder.

Makes them squirm.

This won't work with me since I put one in my signature.

i actually think it's an interesting exercise. they are helpful but it's easy to get lazy/less specific with them.

also helps infiltrate the INTJ mind...

10 consecutive posts in this thread without an emoticon? I suppose I could do that. Other threads... not so much.

my emoticon diet failed. miserably.

i've been seen :smooch:ing, :wub:ing, :heart:ing, :devil:ing, and :solidarity:ing (tho not always in-thread).

sigh. and my career in armchair social science draws to a close...

This seems to happen to me a lot IRL. I joke about going on a serial killer rampage and people start to back off or laugh insecurely.
Do I seem like a sociopath? :wubbie:

I actually think we should communicate with ONLY emoticons (no words). Something like this:

:hi:    :steam:  :headphne: :party2:  :wubbie: :bananallama: :rules: :azdaja: :duel:  :hifive: :solidarity:

It should be very clear what that message means. It means:

:hi: Hi,
 I'm very confused by your original post.
 I don't understand why you would want to stop using emoticons.
 Not only would it make the emoticons themselves angry
:steam: it would make me frustrated too
 In fact, I'd probably just stop coming to this site altogether
:headphne: probably just start listening to music on my headphones
:party2: or going to more parties instead
 go on more dates
:wubbie: maybe even find me a woman
:bananallama: and ride off into the sunset
:rules: so please don't make this forum harder than it needs to be with your arbirtrary rules
:azdaja: I will come after you.
:duel: even though we obviously disagree on the proper use of emoticons
 i think we can still be lovers
:hifive: errr, maybe just friends
:solidarity: either way, let's try to stay on the same page and be unified.
 whadduya say?
