Default Why are feelings for INFPs so strong on this forum?

I mean it seems like people either think we're the greatest things on earth or they hate us and want us dead. Why is that? there's no INFPs are just ok.

Queue people being like I don't have strong feelings towards INFPs either way.
    In no likes experiment.

    that is all

i dunno what else to say so

You can add me to that list. I don't particularly love or hate INFPs more than any other type.

Most of the original members here were either INTPs or INFPs, because the population of the sister-site was comprised of mostly those types. INFPs were outcasts at INTPc, where the feeling label was used to humiliate and shame them, and that polarisation of feelings for INFPs carried over here.

I don't think the feelings are nearly as strong as they were a few years ago, but that is why I think there *are* more threads and stronger feelings in general about them.

Really? The way I see it, the INFPs here get brushed aside too often into the "meh" category by the forumers, while everyone loves and drools over the mysterious female INFJs.

Just look at all the threads asking about INFJs, compared to the ones asking about INFPs.

Yeah, that's what I've noticed, though there aren't quite as many INFJ fascination threads as there were at one point.

I guess I'm neutral on INFPs. I like individuals, but I don't think I'm captivated by any one type.

    +1

I like'em, though the male ones often end up thoroughly confusing me.

Good: We are generally good listeners. And fairly unoffensive as a general rule.

Bad: Because some people love to have someone to be an asshole to, especially if their target isn't apt to respond vehemently. It makes them feel better about their complete lack of empathy, or a soul.

The less people know about something, the stronger their stated opinion is of it.
