I would looooooove to be a college professor. My problem is that pesky PhD. I kind of think I want to get some day, maybe, but I'm about to finish my Masters and then I need a break from school. But if I could even teach like one class in my area of expertise with a Masters, I might be interested in doing that someday.

What subjects do they teach or what subjects would be appealing to you?
Masters is in Language & Identity... so pretty much a mix of all the stereotypes: Language+psychology+cultural studies+anthropology.... with a bit of neuroscience/cognitive science/biology mixed in.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

I have worked with a significant number of INFJs in the hard sciences-chemistry, biochemistry, biology. ENFPs come into these fields as well, but seem to gravitate towards people roles fairly quickly-marketing, training, even sales, so I'd say I see a 4:1 ratio of INFJs to ENFP lab directors.

I am definitely looking into it, but I am still an undergrad. A few of my professors have suggested I do it. I would like to teach in some capacity, and the professorial format is most agreeable to me.

The thought did play around in my head when I was considering doing a postgraduate course in cultural studies/philosophy (a switch from biotechnology). Then, due to a lack of background in philosophy, I went on to do a postgraduate qualification in sonography, which I immensely love now as I prepare to kick start my career. Sonography involves the knowledge of anatomy, pathology and the physics of ultrasound, as well as scanning skills. While doing a short tutoring stint at college in sonography, I realised how I loved sharing my understanding of the nuances of every aspect of sonography with students. Now I am almost sure I would like to play an educational role in the future after gaining enough experience in this field.

I am strongly considering it as profession. I'd be an English/Drama teacher.

i teach writing for the remainder of my MA program.

anthropology is good. i think i'm gonna try to go to a joint program in cognitive science and psychological or some branch of socio-cultural (maybe symbolic? geertz = probably the strongest current Ni methodology/style standing that i know of in any human sciences discipline) anthropology. i like cognitive lingusitics, psychotherapy, german sociological theory and systems theory, the history of philosophy, etc. i actually majored in religion and culture and minored in music theory. i went to culinary school for a year too, and i've toyed with the idea of taking some time and getting certified to teach yoga (teaching makes me motivated and accountable to learn in a consistent and disciplined way).

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say that several professors I've met have been incredibly egotistical and lacking of any sort of empathy whatsoever. now, I've met a few who were wonderful and extremely helpful, but so many of them just think they are doing you the biggest favor by even looking at them and I'm thinking "uhh, I'm the one paying you here. you're not doing me a favor, you're doing your job" many of them have also come across to me as subtly controlling and they seem to have all these little games they play and expect you to follow. I mean, I don't mind people who are self assured and have high value for themselves, but when they start talking down to you, that's not something I take to well

I'm currently in school to be a Secondary Ed English teacher. I like the idea of teaching to students that are there to learn and like the subject, but I don't know about getting a PhD. I'm planning on getting a Masters (I basically have to eventually in my state anyway), and I'd totally be for teaching at a community college or something that would allow me to do so with my Masters. If I ever did get a PhD, it would be waaayyy down the road. I want to get a job as soon as possible when I graduate with my Bachelors (sick of being dead broke).

Dear God, Peguy, that is depressing . . .
