I mean, who would say no to this: "Freely enjoy doing what you want for your own personal happiness."

I liked the descriptions on this (old, not working) cognitive functions test:

Or maybe, cookie-cutter typological predictions aside, the individual person, whose uniqueness is what really matters has nonetheless developed or values highly that aspect of their personality and cognition?

I agree that the descriptions are less ambiguous on the other test though. That one was actually working when I tried it last year, are you sure it's not any more?

    Summary Analysis of Profile
By focusing on the strongest configuration of cognitive processes, your pattern of responses most closely matches individuals of this type: INFJ

    Lead (Dominant) Process
Introverted Intuiting (Ni): Transforming with a meta-perspective. Withdrawing from the world and focusing your mind to receive an insight or realization. Checking if synergy results. Trying out a realization to transform things.

    Support (Auxilliary) Process
Extraverted Feeling (Fe): Building trust through giving relationships. Empathically responding to others' needs and take on their needs and values as your own. Checking for respect and trust. Giving and receiving support to grow closer to people.

If these cognitive processes don't fit well then consider these types: ENFJ, or INFP

I'm too open and ended in possibilities, on occasion I've gotten INFJ and INTJ as well. I wonder whether the test needs more detail, some variables could have gone either way without much inclination or affinity to some aspects. It is possible I suppose, who knows when I'm entirely stress free I would assume there could be a borderline somewhere there though I tend to be highly perceptive and that would create an impasse.

I think they highly value whatever is described there (ie "own personal happiness" - again, who does not value that?), but not necessarily use the Fi thought process much or well. I think that may be true of the other function descriptions on the test also, not just Fi. It's not that I expect everyone to be typical of their type, it's that I don't think these tests gauge cognitive function use accurately.

I agree that the descriptions are less ambiguous on the other test though. That one was actually working when I tried it last year, are you sure it's not any more?
A year is a long time . You can try it, but it doesn't work for me now....

Argh, Te, why must you elude me so?

^I might be a little "liberal" in saying I have over 20ish Te. It's kept to very minor activities. It's not beyond me to argue from evidence or in the case of actions, help someone automate some chore. "Do this and this in case of" and lay some out vague procedure.. like in a situation where I set up their computer or something.

It's just that Te seems so...painfully dull.
