And worst of all I fit those Must Haves on all list. Each, and every one. Then comes the Deal Breakers and there is one that always trip me up. Is Porn really that bad? Ok. I watch it occasionally. Why not watch it with me. It could be fun. Adventurious, right?

Blaah....I think I'm going to have to give this porn thing up.

And that's quite stereotypical of you to equate that to NFdom. It's a minority. It doesn't tend to get heard as much out there. Of course their opinions are going to seem anti-social to a degree.
NFP hate on this board has become so trite it's almost as cliche as SJ hate. It's just a bandwagon to jump on, and NFPs are convenient targets. It reeks of mob mentality.

On a related note, I get the feeling that people are only okay with the fluffy, sweet, apologetic, self-deprecating, doormat, non-threatening, Disney character portrait of the NFP, but we better not have opinions or backbone, because then we're just moralistic or too idealistic or presumptuous, and blah blah blah. This thread has NF women asserting opinions, and that's a no-no.

Particularly with INFPs, we're only tolerated so long as we're obsequious in our interactions, apologizing for our mere existence. I won't make any apologies for having a brain and a spine.
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)

OrangeAppled, I could not agree more with every word, every sentiment you've expressed here. I will never apologize for being an NFP with an opinion and a backbone, and neither should you.

you're missing the whole point if you really think all of this is about NF hate, it's about hating NFs when they're being too idealistic with they're heads so far up their own asses to realize they're being too idealistic.

What is wrong with being idealistic? Where is this magical line when you cross over to become too idealistic? And if these lists aren't meant to be taken literally, does it really matter if they are idealistic or not?

I'd say your post illustrates the point I was trying to make earlier about how I see this as a classic S / N miscommunication.

The NFs are dismayed that the Ss are getting so upset over a frolic. The Ss think the Ns are so up in the clouds that they aren't being realistic... and this up in the clouds (aka holier than thou / aka stuck up / aka not in touch reality) aspect of NF behavior really chaps their S fannies.

OK. So what. Seems like no big deal to me if you chalk it up to S/N differences.

Why can't we all agree that Ss and Ns see things differently and then choose to see the best in the other's way of seeing the world. You Ss could use a little more idealism. We Ns could use a little more Ss grounding in reality. Bickering over these foundational differences between the N and S perspective is both pointless and fruitless.

Seems like the only real faux pas is to be too extreme in either the S or N direction.

their's nothing wrong with being idealistic except when it's taken to an extreme like people in this thread are doing. I never said their was anything wrong with being idealistic.BTW I'm INFP, I do not identify with any other type. You just don't want me to be an NF because I don't agree with something. which is a pretty fucked reason IMO
