    Hmmm...

I'd likely be decsirbed as somewhat harsh or aloof. When younger I was called ice princess and snobby as I didnt interact much.

I would say people may see irritability and annoyance far more than rage.

Now-with people I trust to a moderate level I will actually be quite silly and goofy-you are starting to see my real core

To see me cry? Well that happens so rarely, that almost nobody sees that...Maybe my toddler.

and really...i kinda think we're saying the same things. i keep most negative emotions to myself but i can become passionate about an opinion or point of view but i just like to work out things that upset me on my own...i don't look outside myself for support....that makes sense of fi right? instead of fe?
Yeah, I would believe that Fi requires less external validation than Fe.

To the OP, seems like it's an NF thing. I've replied to this other thread so I'll just put a link here.

appreciates being appreciated, conflicted over conflicts, afraid of being afraid, bad at being bad, predictably unpredictable, consistently inconsistent, remarkably unremarkable...

I may not agree with what you are feeling, but I will defend to death your right to have a good cry over it

The whole problem with the world is that fools & fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts. ~ Bertrand Russell
