Supposedly, anyone who claims that "drama follows (them)" is actually a dramatic person.
I may be an exception to this rule.
Maybe I naturally befriend dramatic people? Maybe by allowing for friends to be a bit dramatic early on, I enable later drama escalation?
Either way -- I'm too tuckered out to be annoyed about it right now, but it generally bothers me.
I think maybe its just because you are very easy to talk to. You have the ability to listen and comprehend which, sadly, is a trait that is rather lacking these days. That's why people will allow themselves to "dish the drama" to you. The closest thing I can think of off hand is the phrase "give 'em inch, they'll take a mile". They will talk up to a certain point and see how it goes. If you're still listening they will carry on.
Either that or they may just be an a**hole. I have literally called someone a f***ing a$$hole before and they thought I was their best buddy!
