There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.

I find myself instantly bored whenever I am not in interacting with other people. If I was a dog online forums would be my bone. Something to chew on until the next interaction occurs :p

Yeah, I can only stand watching a movie unless I can respect the characters or in someway understand what they are going through. If I can't establish a social link between myself and them then I just get really bored and cynical of it.

I try to avoid relating myself to character in a movie, if I can do so. I just want to see the issues/questions the movie raises, from a detached perspective, also on the quality of the movie, rather than relate to a character, even the hero, I view it neutrally.

A detached perspective you say... Interesting. I think that would drive me haywire. Does that make you happy watching a movie like that?

It doesn't at all, lol, but it allows me to view characters I can't relate to, but find the stories thought provoking.

O.o That's pretty impressive that you can actually ignore or at least see past an entire character for a chance to enjoy the story.
