I've been told that I have a pleasant singing voice hurhurhur.
However, I think my standards for music is particularly high. Which means I set the standards for myself really really high and try to attain that standard. Its like, make something awesome or don't bother at all.
To one of the posters: Maybe thats the reason why your NF friend is embarrassed about liking music.
Now writing, I enjoy writing too and I've gotten compliments on my work. I kinda prefer writing actually, its more "safe" and can be edited at length. Though I'm not the detailed type I will edit my works to death because I care SO MUCH about them.
