That's what's so puzzling about you guys. I can't figure out how you stay sane with Fi. Functioning with Fi (beyond being liked by people), is an achievement from my POV. I don't think I can manage. Respect.

I think ENFPs have a lot to share and teach about Fi. But once I start asking the usual Ne-Ti questions (nothing's sacred, put feelings aside, let's figure it out) they get offended.

In my experience, ENFP's are only motivated to be popular. They need to be shallow in order to appeal to the most people. Much like ENTP's in this regard but more manipulative than ENTP's.

Me. Me. Me. Always talk about themselves.

    They invade my personal space.

Mis-characterize people and oversimplify things. Oblivious. Discriminative. I've known one who was racist and sexist.

Don't realize that a lot of people talk about them behind their back. They ignore or reinterpret criticism to make them feel more popular.

Can't discuss things logically with them.

    there's more..

haha, thanks, about the Fi. it gets a little crazy/confusing sometimes, admittedly. it's a lot of emotion, and a lot of hard decisions about when to stay quiet and when to act.

i think that to us Ti can come off sort of harshly sometimes... since it doesn't take personal valuing into account, and that's pretty much what we base our judgment on. like it can seem very oblivious of how it can offend/hurt other people. or how it's just not very nice. my brother and dad are both INTPs, and i have an ENTP cousin - love you NTPs, you are my partners in crime - but at the same time, i totally understand what you mean about the questions. it's tricky to be on our side too, to have the Ti wording feel like an attack and then have the NTP get pissed off / disappointed that we took it that way. i think leaning heavy on the Ne side of things really helps NFP-NTP relations...

    !

if you talk to some of the brilliant ENFPs on this site, i think you will quickly find they are neither shallow nor only motivated to be popular. i can easily say i like to be liked but "shallow" isn't even close to accurate when it comes to ENFP criticisms... lol... maybe "approval-seeking" or "people-pleaser" but shallow, no...

i don't think being discriminatory is type-related, either.

Yeah I can't agree with istar there. I think these ENFP's you know just aren't intellectually mature. I do admit that I like being liked though... a lot. Still don't think that's the only thing that that drives ENFP's. Sounds more like an ennegram issue, if anything.

It was so embarrassing. I snapped at her that she was a diva after 15 minutes, but it went on for 2 hours regardless.

If you know you're being a brat and apparently sorry about it, then why not change the current pattern?

    I'm still annoyed.
I can actually see this. I could see an INFP doing this too.

Through observation I think being a young, slender, attractive female exacerbates that behavior because frankly it's condoned and rewarded. Not surprised a model would be whining and complaining a lot. :P

I think also due to Fi when you really don't like something you just can't let it go. I'm good on 98% of things but some things I just can't let go. I thought INFPs were like this too but maybe due to our ENFP extroversion we're just more likely to you know, extrovert our gripes. I think Te might be a factor as well.

Also that kind of griping may be looking for someone to make a concession and basically 'fix' the situation. I noticed that some ENFP females can be surprisingly bossy (asking a lot of other people) or openly selfish about some random things but most people around them accept this due to the ENFP's overall popularity and other wise thoughtfulness? sincere interest in others? I think it also helps that ENFP females are generally considered attractive (see earlier point about attractive females getting away with more whining, complaining, general dramatic behavior)

I was going to post here complaining about how flighty and usery-prone immature ENFPs are, but it is so damn unbelievably hard to stay mad at you guys.
    Unbelievably.
Even after three months of consistent horribitchable behavior, you can sit right down, smile, act like nothing happened, and bam-- that's it, I can't hate you anymore.
