INFPs are sweet and I enjoy their company until they starting asking questions like "Do you think flowers wonder whether or not they're beautiful?".

lmfao. God, this is such a good question, someone must find the answer!

Also, do flowers and or trees feel pain? Do they speak to each other? Do you think they are able to distinguish between good and evil? Do you think they know the answers to the universe? o.o must find answers!

*XKCD Awesomeness*

I've always been trying to type the idea-guy for XKCD.

IVe also found that INFPs that aren't controlled by Fi to be very nice people. I cant relate to the ones that ARE controlled by Fi very much because it's way too much like a minefield or maze trying to talk to them.

Can't say I really understand the Lord of the Ringsish/D and D bent I've observed in a lot of them.

Ugh, really? I thought those were more NT interests....

INFPs are kind of useless, but usefulness and awesomeness really have no correlation in my opinion. A huge amount of my friends are INFPs. They are generally deep, wise...good to confide in and wonderful to discuss the big questions with. They're my favorite type to be around.

Only if you call morality and art useless!!! Okay, art is not utilitarian, but it serves to lift the spirit. :cheese:

If they make a good sounding board for you and you enjoy their company and thoughts, they are certainly serving a very useful purpose in your life.

Oh, the brilliant flash of insight. ;)

Heh, chalk it up to the power of extroverted intuition focusing the power of introverted feeling.

INFP insight recipe:
Start with 5 servings Si. (In this recipe, Si is flavorless but provides substance. Stop here if you desire the same flavor over and over.)
Add 4 parts Te. (Be sure to use only the freshest and most reliable data.)
Combine with 10 parts Fi (Protip: Fi refines with age)
Liberally mix with Ne and stir.

Continue mixing, on and off, for 1 second - 1 week - 1 year. The nature of the recipe is random, sometimes providing immediate results and other times requiring much stirring over an extended period of time.
YES! that's it!

I can now market the secret recipe and turn otherwise idiotic people to good causes! escort services and diamond runners will be abandoned, and the number of school teachers will quadruple! mwahaha!

Of the four one-letter deviants from INTPs, I have to admit that, in my experience, INFPs are the most similar to us. If I had a soul, it'd be an INFP. (Now you see why I enjoy being a thinker.) </humor> On a serious note, I always felt INFPs had the same mind I had, but they used it to process different thoughts. For feelers, they're not too bad.

AND, some of us can turn quantum mechanics topics into poor "pick up lines"! :newwink: And so I ask you, What's not to love??? <- rhetorical question, don't answer

I like INFPs a great deal, probably because I was one when I was a teenager so I get them. I love how devoted they are to their ideals. Since I've become more of a J I find that I've become more flexible about some things that I was way more passionate about as a P. It's good in some ways and bad in others. Also, INFPs seem to make some of the most creative people out there. Just look at how many artists, musicians, and authors are INFPs. I love how they can internalize and shut out the outside world beyond their own realm if need be. Also another aspect of being INFP that I miss.

I am so in love with them, possibly because they are so hard to get close to. I want to crack their big, beautiful brains. Or something.

Hey! I'm not an INFP!

you guys are cool. goofy, surprisingly loyal, slightly self-centered (case in point- the posters on this thread).

stop giving me that look like I've got three heads and stomped on your puppy. 'cause I'm pretty sure I didn't. and that doesn't mean I don't love you. :)

Aww... I'd have to agree.
