Default NF's, what job do you have?

I'm curious how many of us are in typical NF occupations and how many are not.

Strike one up for not: research engineer in physics/electrical engineering/materials science specialization

If we count previous jobs: laser research physicist, teaching assistant:physics, camp counselor , teaching assistant:physics, teaching assistant: math, outdoors expedition leader, tutor, dishwasher, dog sitter are all coming to mind. never got paid for it but unofficially assistant martial arts instructor.

Oh, and growing up I wanted to be a military commando in the Army. [Or a Buddhist monk...]

Yeah, so its look like I should just be the posterchild of a typical NF

I'll just post here since you made 2 threads by accident, I suggest getting a mod to lock the other one to cut confusion.

However, I'm going into the psychology field, seems pretty typical NF. I want to be marriage counselor, a shrink, a personnel manager, etc. Just something in that field, my abilities as a person are the best in the humanities field, helping people with their problems, creating solutions, etc. Personnel manager would be great though, I'd make a lot of money and I'd get to use my people skills to their fullest as well. But at the same time I really enjoy helping people one to one with their problems.

Something will work out. Just my 2c here.

Sorry about the multiple post. The browser had a loading problem, and then was slow. Moderators, feel free to remove the other thread.

My INFP Aunt is a psychotherapist or something very close in job title to that.

It seems us INFPs do best when we can apply our skills of empathy to something, or if we get a job having to do with a passion of ours or something we just plain enjoy (such as what you have done).

My browser has done that too... I hate that.

Right now I'm a teacher's assistant/camp counselor with kids 2-6 years old as well as doing dishwashing for a restaurant. My career choice is to become a psychologist, going to uni for psych.

I started at the bench as a biochemist, went to grad school in biophysics. Then went into industry as an apps specialist at the bench. I very quickly gravitated towards the more people side of the business and went through training and am now in Technical Marketing.

I'm a full-time student and a part-time cashier in a grocery store. I've also been a waitress and a dancer. In the future I plan to either teach or work for an environmental coalition, something like that. When I win the lottery I will become a full-time novelist who does charity work in my free time.
