Unhappy Are those "emo" mostly NF?

Ok, we know those "emo" beings, they say they are emotional, misunderstood, their life is wasted in 15 and so on.. you know how it goes
But are they actually NFs? Or are they only something like posers? What proportion of might truly be NFs? huh?

I'll say they're definitely (unhealthy and/or immature) F types. Not so sure on the N, though.

Because you can't spell "Slaughter" without "Laughter"

To be honest, I'd say anyone has the possibility of falling into that pit. Type probably isn't a good indicator, as "emos" have all kinds of different reason for being so. Some just can't see a meaning to life, while others struggle to meet the expectations of life and give up. It's easy to say that a T could never fall into that, but it's not true. Everyone has the potential to experience those kind of thoughts, and being "emo" is a (not very healthy, mind you), way of dealing with it.

By the way, real 'original' emo's are nothing like the stereotype's that has become emo's on the internet. But I assume you mean the stereotypical emo. :P

Isn't that like asking if all NT's are cyberpunk?

I don't think it's NF. Whatever the "spoiled and bored upper middle class suburban white kid teenager" type is.

Most of the "emo" people I know in real life are SFPs...but I think anyone has the potential.

...even Ts. Especially the ones who aren't good at dealing with their feelings.

What makes you think NFs are emotional, depressed, and misunderstood?

original emo kids: NiFe + SiFe (meaning introverted perceivers) sometimes enfj + enfp (but that fashion is screaming Fe imho)

(...horribly misunderstood by the text below this image )

but that is not true for the musicians. it's also not true for random steetkids who adopt the style

gothic people = FiNe or anyone who like sex and has a borderline distortion (from estp to intj) the emotion of pathos, that underlies gothic, works best with Fi.

allot of people don't understand on which side of the gothic / emo dichotomy they belong.
or they act like its the same thing. their bad.
cure for instance is not on the emo side, its mostly gothic, but is actually fairly compatible.

It's not that they are misunderstood, it's that they misunderstand. I think. :P
