I ask these things because the infp's I know irl seem to have an almost "saintly" disposition towards others and I'm trying to get a better idea on what makes them tick. Any insight is appreciated.
Haha, you sound like one of my friends. They've been trying to get me to explode for about six months now. Not much closer than when they started.

I bet this is fairly common INFP experience.

    I don't think INFPs can be trusted. . .

Wait. Are you guys saying Frank was being disengenuous? I didn 't read him that way. Thought his question was for real. Maybe with just a little bit of a bite. . .

    What was it, Frank?

No, I can't say for certain, but I think he believes holding in these types of feelings are unhealthy, so he wants to figure out how to best help them vent. Or maybe its something else.

I'm being completely genuine on this. The inquiry is in part to understand my friends better and also to better understand fi as it is supposedly my 4th function and a definite weakness. Also my uncle, who is probably one of the neatest people I know is an infp, yet he seems to be a little suspicious also of personal inquiries and will often shy away from philosophical conversations. I find this to be a shame because you can just tell that he is full of insights and practical wisdom.
