    To get specific: I think INFPs are more amenable to having their values challenged than INTPs. INFP conviction is general, and INTP conviction is specific. If you challenge an INFP, they will likely try to fit your opinion into their world view; Not so for the INTP.

    I can comfortably compromise as long as my important values aren't threatened. Even in those situations I don't do it because of living to compromise, but because compromising just happens to make things easier. I greatly enjoy helping others and making them happy, but I'm not an exploited martyr-doormat. I take at least as much care of myself as of those close to me.

    Summarized: I don't live to accommodate others. I live to pursue my personal ideals.

    as an NF, I subconsciously feel it my duty to try to find a middle ground between differences to maximize the reduction of conflicts, as long as it doesn't take that much effort.
