I hope you didn't type that all out :D

I'm like Ouroboros. Usually only lasts for a few months then I drift away... then I need to paddle to get back to it! Good thing the idea islands are relatively close to each other. :D

I've always had obsessive interests, ever since I was a kid. But my ENFP friend pwns me in this department. I think the main difference is that she talks about hers WAY more than I do. I tend to keep them to myself, and just talk about them with a couple of close friends, or people who share the interest. She could talk about her interest for HOURS ON END, and not be aware that she's even doing it.

Yea I can see this. I think we are secretly trying to infect everyone with our interests so we can debate them and get different perspectives on them etc, mainly because we learn by social interaction. I remember I had this crazy obsession about astrology lol and managed to infect everyone I knew with it. Some of the people who were hardcore, "No that's stupid" are the ones who still to this day talk to me about birth charts and the like and I'm the one saying, "Your reading too much into it" Lol

we ENFP's live life as a series of obsessions. we'll go completely nuts over something but when something new comes our way, our attention shifts completely to that and forget about the last project.

I think it's an Ne thing.

Yep, Ne obsession rules. I wouldn't say our attention shifts completely though. Things just move between foreground and background processes. Like when holding four conversations at once, or one conversation on four topics at once.

Any MBTI type can probably be obsessive. I believe it depends more on where the sx instinct of the enneagram is placed. More sx = more obsessive personality. Less sp = more obsessive personality.
