"Rajah" b/c it was an available name when I registered with nickserv on IRC back in '93. The other stuff I tried was taken. I was 17 and randomly picked some Disney character. *shrug* People thought I was an Indian male, so that kinda worked out for me as far as not being hit on much online.
Avatar was picked for me by Lurker, though I added my awesome MS Paint skillz to make it way less cool.
I sat in front of my computer for a couple of minutes trying to think of a good name, and then decided to just pick the first, somewhat reasonable, name that would pop up in my head. Somehow, I thought of the matrix.
Meh. May or may not change it depending on whether I feel like getting around to it.
Fiver is the main character in Watership Down which I was reading when I joined. Fiver sees the future. I should have picked Blackberry because he's the bunny who comes up with novel solutions to their problems.
My avatar shows Gerard Depardieu as Rodin about to kiss Camille Claudel played by Elizabeth Adjani. Three of the four have been mini-obsessions of mine at one time or another.
