Default stream of conscious nonesense and little sweets

What is this sound I keep in my hand
A pleasant sound like falling sand
Or a deep breath, drawn from within
Or rain against a window pane

What is this sound that climbs my fingers
A quiet caress that ever lingers
It wraps itself around a nail
It finds the time to intertwine

What is this sound that strokes a vein
It scratches the bone, quite the same
    What is this sound
    Around again

John didn't like the chair. He didn't like the chair at all.
It wasn't for him, you see.#
Perhaps it didn't fit. He doesn't know.
He didn't like the chair at all.

    Stop fishing.
    They're all gone.
    You fished them all up.
    Your bucket is too fat.
    It's too fat.
    It's grotesque.
    Put them back.
    The space will ease them.

Mother roared and soared and cackled and cracked and hit and spit and laughed and bit and died. I cried.

    John found another chair
    Different from before
The others looked on with delight
He was to like this chair for sure

The chair was "built for a king"
    In exquisite black and gold
Doves and dodos wove the silk
and only John was to behold

He didn't like this chair, either

    She wouldn't stop digging
    That's all she did
    "Two more holes", she says
    But she did three
    And more
    Much more than four
She went on through the night
    and the day
until the ground had been dug away
"What do I do now?", she asked
"Look up!", I said, "and you will see the sky"

They're diseased, you know; every one.
Stupid, they are; out and about.
You're tucked in; safe and warm.
    They can't get you there.
    Go to sleep.

    "I'm famous!", she said
    "A regular star!"
"She's in the magazines!", they said
    That's where she lives
    "Don't stop there!", I said
    "Go to the moon!"
    I should go
    The stars are beautiful

    That's a gift, you know
    The Falling snow
    The iridescent white

    It's a miracle, you see
    A withered tree
    the falling petal

    It's your time, now
    Before you knuckle under
    Before a pine cone falls
    and brings its thunder
    A crow's stone throne
    or grass's mulch

    It's your time, now
    The air is crisp
    and you breathed out

    Domesticated, you know; the cat
    You stroke, she purrs
It's her posterity that takes you
    Rather than the bird

    It grew upon the chin
    Years it took
Of trimming, and brushing, and stroking whilst thinking
It's grown to mean more than him

    You're alone, I expect
Not a shadow on your face
Turn your head, they will return
As will the wind and trees

    --

    Jane jumped up high
    into the sky
    So high she died
    She didn't come down
    "Poor Jane!", I cried
    Why did she jump?
    'It's fun', I thought
    I jumped, too

    "It's love!", they said
    "The birds and the bees"
He stung her, she squawked back
    four divorces later
    they're now both dead

    --

    He walked a lot
    he never stopped
    What could he do
    But walk some more
    His shoes had gone
    as had his face
    There was nothing left
    But a steady pace

If I am me, and you are you, and we are we. Then they are them, and we are us. You were they, and so was I. They are we.

    --

Rolled and giggled, laughed and dribbled, sucked the thumb and napped
    Holding hands and finding friends
Your boss did all of that

-How beautiful, this pale Endymion hour.
    -What are you talking about?
-Endymion, my dear. A beautiful youth possessed by the moon.
-Well, forget about him and get to bed.
    -Yes, my dear.

Great stuff Colmena - I especially liked the snowmen looking in opposite directions and the frog pic.

My dogs are staring at each other.

There is a gifilte fish on my plate.

I did not put it there.

    It looks like a testicle.

My dog is wagging her tail.

There is a Rwandan drum sitting next to me.

I am thinking of a plastic castle.

I am thinking of a rubber maid.

    This maid is a she.

My other dog is looking at me, perhaps I should feed him the testicle, to make up for him having missing parts.
