I saw "Something's Got to Give" the other night and it was pretty fun. It was, in fact, the movie I thought of first when I said that "chick flicks are usually pretty good once I finally get around to watching them". The image of Kathy Bates in "Fried Green Tomatoes" also appeared in my head, and then the poster for "Bridges of Madison County", which is the only one of those 3 that I haven't seen yet.
"The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them that they are being attacked and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

Instead of watching any of those movies, slash your wrists and then start counting backwards from a billion. That should provide somewhat more entertainment and considerably less pain.

I've seen all of those except for The Road Home. So I would watch that, and hope you will too.

Although I do want to be just like the Grandmother in The Way Home.

-How beautiful, this pale Endymion hour.
    -What are you talking about?
-Endymion, my dear. A beautiful youth possessed by the moon.
-Well, forget about him and get to bed.
    -Yes, my dear.

We watched Cannonball Run II. It had many more stars than the ones appearing on the front cover! Don Knotts, Tim Conway, Jackie Chan, Charles Nelson Reilly, Jim Nabors... basically all of your 70s/80s game show panelists, plus Jackie Chan.

And on second glance Jackie Chan does appear on the front cover, I just didn't recognize him.

So have you considered the possibility of taking your laptop into the hottub yet? Heaven x 2. . . unless you drop it.
