Air dove in to the water, the sudden absence of sound didn't occur to her. She opened her eyes and could just see by the glow of the candles floating on the surface and moonlight that cut through like a blade. She became very self aware, of her need for air, how frail her life could be but how beautiful this experience is. It became cleansing, not of sins but of the smog that polluted her life. Here it was like countless tears of the earth washing it all away. She could hold her breath for a long time and swam further through the water then, there she saw...

Some things to consider if you wish to play along with the story:

* Post a quote with something like "got it" and then edit that post to avoid several people adding on to the same bit.
*Leave a cliff-hanger of sorts.
*Make it as long or short as you like. About a paragraph is good but a sentence is fine.
