    congratulations.

one of my friends moved here from england when he was 18 months so he's lived most of his life here, but still is not a US citizen. Which I find interesting.

I don't think, he's a citizen of the US. I could be wrong.
    In no likes experiment.

    that is all

i dunno what else to say so

Noel, I'll be giving you various pop quizzes concerning American trivia. If you fail one I'm reporting you to Homeland Security.

Ha! Three of the hundred questions were the following: What colours are on the flag? What colours are the stars? What colours are the stripes?

My dad suggested two other reasons to become a citizen than an 'economic' one; the first one seems somewhat reasonable and the second one reminds me of Pascal's wager to an extent.

    1. Instead of getting deported from a DUI, I'll loose my license.

    2. Noel, lets just say theoretically, you're at a party and they're passing around a joint and it comes to you and then at that instance the police break in.

    Thanks everyone

I think I'll settle for his current avatar... >=O but he should photoshop the car's paint job to resemble the flag!

XD Rockin' hard questions.. but seriously, times like that is when you'd really appreciate the trouble.. That's what it's all about, making your life in America more seamless and easier since you're a part of it.

But I thought if you lived in America for a certain length in time you were considered a citizen.. ^_^;; I guess it's if you've lived here for so many years you can APPLY for citizenship?

It took me three months total to apply, fingerprint, test and become a citizen. Others during the ceremony stated they've lived in the United States for fifteen plus years and have tried becoming a citizen for ten plus years.

Hahaha, if you were handed a joint in Victoria and the police showed up they'd probably sit down and have a toke with you
