Is it similar? Never tried it.

Don't you believe a word of it.

Vegemite bowled Marmite out for a duck,

While Vegemite went on to score a century.

I tried Marmite once and greatly regretted it. I have an iron clad stomach and my sense of smell (hence my palate) is pretty diminished. But, eeek. The only other thing that I can't stand palate wise is sour-sweet-salty which is really confined to certain Chinese candies.

Yes, it is quite delicious with sardines.

But it is beer based, so be careful not to eat too much or it will put you over the limit.

And there is nothing more embarrassing than to be brought before the magistrate with a black smudge of vegemite on the tip of your nose.

The Court invariably takes it as an admission of guilt.

I had some Ukrainian cabbage rolls from my Canadian Grandmother this evening and vomited a little in my mouth. I love scalped Potatoes and Pierogies but jesus, cabbage rolls absolutely disgust me.

Beefy Bovril. We have it in South Africa. It looks just like Marmite but tastes...er...beefy. Not as sharp as Marmite.

And two of my friends said balut is quite tasty, thank you very much. It's a delicacy in Vietnam as well, eaten with a bit of cilantro. In the Philippines, you don't always eat the duck fetus, some people just eat the larvae (okay, totally not the right word) egg portion.
