Anything from the Thai place nearby. It's like a gross competition top ten every day.

I love Thai food! If you want some grossness, go to an authentic Vietnamese place. You will see TONS of animal tendons and hearts in those dishes.

What's the one that is a fully developed chick in an egg? Bet that's on there. *shudder*

Balut is the late-term duck fetus in the egg. It's #1 on the list.

Yeah, I was all "BOO-yeah!" when I saw that. I know what's gross!

You know what else is gross?

    Chitterlings, or chitlins.

Well, if it's from a movie, then it must be real.

I've eaten balut. My dad loves it. I think it's okay, but the texture isn't that pleasant. Especially if it's older and the feathers are more grown in.

That list of from Cracked is hilarious. But pacha doesn't seem that gross, and shouldn't the illegal maggot cheese be #1? ... I mean... how masochistic do you have to be to wanna eat maggots that will try and bore out your intestines? (And now I'm really curious about the flavor of those escamoles.)

Then again, some common (in the US) foods are inexplicable too. Like cauliflower. And coleslaw.

I ate horse penis soaked in peanut sauce (try saying that out loud!). It was at a Japanese restaurant in St. Mark's Place in the Village.

A bit fibrous and lacking in resilience, as if it had been drained of all its strength.
