Sudden and Unexplained: The Sleep Deaths that Inspired Freddy Krueger

A string of real-world deaths inspired the A Nightmare on Elm Street films. Witnesses and survivors didn’t report a burn-scarred face or a striped sweater. Death came without warning or explanation, while its victims slept.

In the late 1970s to the mid 80s, more than 110 men died in their sleep. Until their quiet final moments, they were young and healthy. Their families were stunned. Investigators were bewildered. With the victims all being Asian, medical authorities named the sleep scourge “Asian Death Syndrome.” Witnesses and families called it the night terror.
Too bad 'MyPillow' wasn't around back then; a restful sleep probably would have prevented these deaths.
If bees did go extinct, we could always hire people to dress up as bees and pollinate flowers with tiny feather dusters. Sure it'd be more expensive, but there are also millions of idle teens.

Apparently there's a myth going round that Morocco was the first to recognize US independence.

Never be afraid of failures, because failure is just the first step toward success, and determination and willpower is the ladder toward success. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Failed one time? Try a 2nd time! Failed twice? Try a 3rd time! Failed thrice? Try a 4th time!

My definition of failure is giving up, because when a person give up, there is 0% chance that they will ever succeed. But if a person continue to persevere, there is still a 1% chance that they might succeed one day.

A person's greatest enemy in life isn't failure, but it's letting their fears hold them back in life.

To avoid criticism, do nothing, say nothing, be nothing.

Music provides one of the clearest examples of a much deeper relation between mathematics and human experience.

Xhosa people can't help being rude because their language doesn't cater for it.
