I scrolled to the very end of an Excel worksheet; it only took about 5 minutes using the right arrow key. Yes, you can see the edge; the name of the final column is XDF.

It'd be cool if Microsoft inserted an easter egg at the end of the worksheet, something like an "apple sucks" gif or a dancing bill gates baby.

Robin Rees, who played Robin Colcord on Cheers passed away. He was in a bunch of TV shows in the late 80s, early 90s.

Our character is what we do when we think nobody is watching.
People often act like their best selves when others are watching. But if you want to know a person's true character, you have to observe how they act like when nobody is around.

Disparity of point of view. My very cushy job allows for 3 hours of 'adventuring' time on Thursdays for a reason that makes sense, but isn't relevant. I took a walk and talked to a homeless man, he showed me his boom box, told me about the problems he has with meth heads, how much sleep he manages to get, and what he keeps in his cart to live. He asked me a lot of questions about 'tech workers', asked if I ever talked to Bill Gates, recommended Carl's Jr and told me how great Sony was as a brand, and how real TVs are better than flat screens.

Meanwhile my coworkers spent their time bowling at this place that has designer cocktails, truffle fries with aioli and has cameras before the lanes that takes pictures and will send them to you on their phones, so you can share them to your social network. And I don't think that's a waste of time, it's fun, but I don't think I would be able to explain that to this guy without feeling like an utter asshole.

today I learned how to give oxygen to a real live person, that a person's surroundings gives at least as many clues as what they say and that listening is what people really want many times... all in all it was a good and educational day
