    Default Being Coddled

Ok you know what? Maybe I actually kinda like it.

I can totally handle calm, cool, and collected. I can do businesslike. I can deal with the task at hand: assess the situation, formulate a plan, execute. Balh blah blah. I'm fine at all of these. But when it comes down to it, I actually really appreciate a good coddle. A good pamper. People being kind, looking out for how I'm doing. A little back patting. Maybe a small treat or nice note or something.

It sometimes seems like there's so much pressure not to be "needy" or to be so "independent" with your life and interactions, but goddamit sometimes being coddled just feels soooo gooood.

So it's time to own it.

And I invite everyone else who also loves it to fess up... you know who you are... don't be ashamed...
Your kisses, sweeter than honey. But guess what, so is my money.

I'll admit that I love it. As long as I get left alone when I feel like it too.

I'm conflicted. because on one hand I want to live on my own on the other is i would not go to work/school. isolate from society, barely eat, not take care of myself, wouldn't clean. and as much as I say I would do all those things my past has proven I wouldn't. and the only motivation for me to do anything what so ever is someone telling me to by making threats.
    In no likes experiment.

    that is all

i dunno what else to say so

it's a fine line for me. i'm very resistant if i feel like i'm being pitied or fussed over. genuine compassion and empathy are a different story.

also, people trying to make me feel better with material things or making me feel "pampered" is a huge turn-off for me. that is very rarely what i want or need, and it feels bothersome to me (although i appreciate the intention, and usually keep to myself just how much i loathe it).

    I love being coddled.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

I like to coddle. And in exchange, I like to be doted upon. But no pandering. That just pisses me off.

I like it from select people.
I like to rock n' roll all night and *part* of every day. I usually have errands... I can only rock from like 1-3.
