    Not currently living there but I lived in the east bay area. 30 miles east in the pleasanton/danville area.

    Will be going back most likely when I get out of the military. Possibly Berkeley for a bit because I have a friend I could room with and then, eventually, venture elsewhere in the bay area (or maybe up to Seattle, WA).

    Bay area is beautiful.

    The areas right along the beach get some fog. I stopped to eat a place right on the beach in Carpinteria, and it was gloomy and a little chilly in June. You have to love 75-degree days to love Santa Barbara, though. Like, 5-6 months out of the year.
