Let my emotions show in all sorts of inappropriate ways, eat a bunch of sugar, buy things I don't need...although lack of self control tends to be associated with a lack of reason. For instance, reason will tell you that spending a certain amount of money is outside of your budget- so self control is only a minor part of it. And reason will tell you that eating too much sugar is unhealthy. So which are we talking about, and in what kinds of situations would reason not apply to self control? There might not be very many. The only instance I can think of right now which only requires a monumental amount of self control at times independent of reason is suppressing the expression of emotion, like not crying at work or in class.
