    King was born in 1947.

    Stephen King's "IT" -- written in the '80's -- is a huge sprawling epic 1100 page story about a group of grownups who as kids (and now again as adults) are faced trying to defeat a murderous demonic spirit known as "IT" in Derry, Maine.... whose primary appearance [and primary means of luring children to their doom] is that of Pennywise the Clown.

    There was a pretty terrible TV adaptation of it starring Tim Curry as Pennywise.
