    Default Expressions you hate/strongly dislike

I was wondering which expressions you guys¹ really dislike.

This thread is not meant to encourage an usage increase of the expressions listed when interacting with the person in question, as that might make them feel butthurt².

    Cheers³.

    Hahahahah this is awesome!

I really hate the following words/phrases:
    pick your brain
    brainchild
    lovechild
    freezebaby

I'm sure I'll think of others.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

Hmm, I'm having trouble of thinking of expressions that I feel strongly about. The word 'alls' maybe, as in "alls you need is...", "alls I did was...", etc.

Someone who gets cold easily. I am one, but I prefer the term "someone who gets cold easily."

    "Epic fail."

Actually most modern uses of the words epic or fail independently too.

also "about that life," I'm not sure exactly what that life is but I'm pretty sure I'm not about it.

Hahaha, oooh boy... I have a word for people who get cold easily, but I don't think I should share. It is based in a lot of overwhelming study and is not just a stereotype, but I don't think it goes over well.

EDIT: Someone has asked me to share. I will, but don't be mad!

The word for someone who gets cold easily is woman.

I don't say that because I'm being sexist, women really do tend to prefer warmer temperatures. Why that is is up for debate, but scientists who have studied the matter have a few hypotheses:

    1) Women tend to have higher surface-area-to-mass ratios; they have proportionally more surface area over which to lose or gain heat. (Same reason women tend to complain more about the heat too! (Plus women, frankly, don't sweat as much as men and don't lose excess heat as efficiently as a result.) )
    2) Women's vasoconstrictive response (blood being rerouted from the skin to keep the core of the body warm) tends to happen at higher temperatures than men's. As a result their skin temperature at any given ambient temperature tends to be colder than a man's skin temperature.
    3) Women tend to wear less clothing, and what clothing they do wear tends to be lighter and not provide as much insulation as male clothing.

It's the worst when people go beyond that and actually lie about where they are when they're driving to make them seem closer.
