what if they were in horrible accident that made them unable to laugh out loud and the only way to convey that they were was ell-oh-ell?
    In no likes experiment.

I would presume that if they couldn't laugh they couldn't articulate speech either.

Laughter is controlled by the autonomic nervous system. Chances are if a stroke victim couldn't laugh they probably couldn't breathe on their own at all, let alone have the capacity to say "ell-oh-ell'.

That's so, so much worse. I can't even articulate how bad it is.

Using "fuck", "fucking", "shit" or most cuss words every other word. It really diminishes the added effect and gets annoying fast.

    Also, "dat".

Oh yeah, I forgot "God fucking dammit", "Jesus fucking Christ", "God Bless America" (nothing about the religious undertone... just someone wore them out for me).

"my bad," is really the only one that comes to mind.
I even heard it on Nick Jr. once, years ago, when channel surfing.

EDIT: Someone has asked me to share. I will, but don't be mad!

The word for someone who gets cold easily is woman.

I don't say that because I'm being sexist, women really do tend to prefer warmer temperatures. Why that is is up for debate, but scientists who have studied the matter have a few hypotheses:

    1) Women tend to have higher surface-area-to-mass ratios; they have proportionally more surface area over which to lose or gain heat. (Same reason women tend to complain more about the heat too! (Plus women, frankly, don't sweat as much as men and don't lose excess heat as efficiently as a result.) )
    2) Women's vasoconstrictive response (blood being rerouted from the skin to keep the core of the body warm) tends to happen at higher temperatures than men's. As a result their skin temperature at any given ambient temperature tends to be colder than a man's skin temperature.
    3) Women tend to wear less clothing, and what clothing they do wear tends to be lighter and not provide as much insulation as male clothing.
I don't find that offensive... I can see how it'd be true. Also I don't know that many guys who get cold easily, but a lot of women who do.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

    "It's as simple as that"

A phrase often employed by my dad to great effect at trivialising what I perceive as a multi-faceted issue.
'One of (Lucas) Cranach's masterpieces, discussed by (Joseph) Koerner, is in it's self-referentiality the perfect expression of left-hemisphere emptiness and a precursor of post-modernism. There is no longer anything to point to beyond, nothing Other, so it points pointlessly to itself.' - Iain McGilChrist

Suppose a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?"
"Suppose it didn't," said Pooh, after careful thought.
    Piglet was comforted by this.
    - A.A. Milne.
