No thanks. If I were to throw a chunk of change down on an outrageously priced, sexy vehicle, it'd be a '58 Plymouth Fury. Allover cherry red, including the hard-top. Ferrari's not cool or worth the $; seems often that it's just more of a weird status symbol. I'm sure it's got remarkable specs- speed and all that, but it's overall not an appealing car to me. Aesthetically or otherwise. I've driven an antique before, & they have a particular feel to them I really enjoy.

I'd have to learn how to drive manual better, though.

This is assuming if I had almost limitless funds. I couldn't reconcile spending that much on a fancy car if that were not the case. Or fancy anything else, for that matter.

My tastes overall go toward the vagrant end of things- taste in cars being the exception (there are some old shitboxes I love as well). So, I'm good either way.

Can I ask what the back story behind this cherry red '58 Plymouth Fury is? It's an awfully specific "dream car" to not have some sort of back story.

    For example...?

According to the rules, no matter what I spend my money on I will always have enough to buy one Ferrari. I can purchase my home and set up a series of CD's to pay my insurance, taxes and homeowner's expenses. I can establish my children's financial future. I can buy my dream car, and then be able to afford a Ferrari afterwards, for lolz.

Ferrari is probably my least favorite high-end auto-manufacturer, but as long as I'm being given one...

Or is that now how this works?

My dad & grandfather both had a thing for vintage vehicles, so I was brought to a lot of car shows through the years, always admired them. '57 Chevy Bel Aire is also a favorite.. couple others. However the Fury wins out- it's just more sleek. Also happens to be the same car in a particular Stephen King novel.. I'd get it, hoping it was possessed- that the car loved me, played ONLY 50's rock n' roll, & could repair itself/murder my enemies. Sold.

    For example...?
You mean specific 'crappy' cars? Or just my general fithy homeless tastes?

I've owned the same jeans for almost ten years now, they were cheap, I don't do designer crap.. simple example. New sneakers look best after I've fucked them up. I tend to repair and modify things as I go. Jewelry makes no sense to me.. jewels, in particular.. it's a bunch of fucking rocks.

Cars.. I like plain old station wagons. No particular make/model. The hobo in me likes that one could camp with it. I also like how inconspicuous it is.
Boxy, used Volvos. I like the 144 aesthetically, but I'll assume they're costly since they're older. Any newer, beat-up one would be fine.

My last car was a used Cavalier. I don't care as long as it works. If I happened to find one of the above, I'd go for those, but generally, I'm happy with practically anything that gets me from point to point.
