Aren't brunettes people with dark brown or black hair?

I'm dying my hair red in the next few weeks... and I've got a packet of brown dye if it looks terrible on me

Well to me brunette is brown and dark brown is dark brown, black is black and light brown can be several shades off from a neutral blond shade. I also left out medium brown. Good thing you guys aren't professional colorists.

I originally added bald to the poll but removed it since technically bald (to me) is no hair. We can add the color "skin" for you if you'd like. Or we can update the poll to say partial <add hair color>.

I'm not a professional hair colorist. I do know my shit when it comes to colors in general, though.

You're blond right? I colored my hair red last fall and it looked nice, but it was just not me. Red is a tricky color to do yourself at home. If you already have colored hair it may not grab the color very well. You'll probably want to leave it on longer than suggested and use shampoo for redheads if you can find it. It's also a nightmare to change it to back to your original color. If you can I would recommend having a good colorist at a salon do it.

Edit: Just realised you're wearing a blond wig in the pic I saw of you. You are adorable!
