Is it wrong if I post "R.I.P." on most of my friends' facebook walls?

Are you asking us if it is wrong in particular? Or if they would see it as wrong? Or if society would see it as wrong?

    I'd say go for it!
'One of (Lucas) Cranach's masterpieces, discussed by (Joseph) Koerner, is in it's self-referentiality the perfect expression of left-hemisphere emptiness and a precursor of post-modernism. There is no longer anything to point to beyond, nothing Other, so it points pointlessly to itself.' - Iain McGilChrist

Suppose a tree fell down, Pooh, when we were underneath it?"
"Suppose it didn't," said Pooh, after careful thought.
    Piglet was comforted by this.

Yes, and I'll tell you why: if they are alive, it won't make any sense whatsoever, and if they're dead, they won't be able to read it.

Which leaves us with the possibility that he's trying to kill them all in the most theatrical way the internet will allow like your average cartoon villain.

It's not wrong, because no-one will be fooled.

You should instead, get all your group to play a joke on one of the group. Set up a FB group called "in loving memory of", find a picture of him, and all of you invite everyone you mutually knew to join. See how far it can spread and how long you can keep it up.

Just hope he doesn't actually die, because then you will feel pretty bad.

I just have to say, this post somewhat made my night.

And no, I don't think it's necessarily wrong to post that. If they're ignoring/avoiding you then I think it's a pretty legitimate statement to make.
