Some much needed clothes and a collection of hot sauces.

I love hot sauce. I especially like the the datil sauce and the habanero sauce that I got.

What's funny is that I really didn't get anything (in terms of items) from people, and I didn't even notice or care... well, until I thought it while responding to this thread. Only because I used to have family who would get me things, and now there's barely any who do.

My mom gave me money (a decent amount of money), and my ex came into some extra money unexpectedly, so that latter money was used for us and the kids to do something together. One of my friends at work got me a small purse and a set of artsy fridge magnets that I immediately loved, which might have been a birthday + christmas present combined. But I think that is all I got.

meanwhile, I got a present each FOR my kids, my ex, my mom, and my very closest friends, and I also drew a picture for each of my kids.

It's because this is my last Christmas at home before I leave for college so my mom wanted to shower me in gifts. <3 And a lot of them were also from my aunts because they don't like to settle with just getting me money or a gift card so they end up harassing my mom for the stuff I asked for... XD My silly family.

    • Money, including a staggering Xmas bonus from work. (Not yet sure what I'll spend it on or if I'll hoard it (maybe I'll start a thread and we can discuss it), but money is always the best gift to get.)
    • Several Regal Cinema gift cards. (Although one has imagery of Breaking Dawn Part 2, I hope it's not only good for that movie.)
    • A case of Hoegaarden. (It sure beats those traditional tins of assorted stale popcorn.)

All in all, this was the best Xmas year for gift cards I've ever had. Not a single Starbucks gift card. I couldn't be more pleased by receiving gift cards that are actually useful to me and I didn't have to try and sell.
