Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

I think it depends on the thread and the time since it died. Reviving a thread from 3 years ago about someone's pet llama dying = not cool, reviving a thread from last month about whether ISTPs like farting = better than starting a new thread.

    IMO, of course.

Well, yeah with the IMO -- I'd rather not read threads at all about how much ISTPs like farting.

I'd rather see a fresh thread started for the most part. I find it annoying to see what looks like a new thread, only to discover that it was started 3 years ago by a dozen people who no longer frequent the site.

It's not so much as necromancing a thread as frankensteining it over a slow period of many moons.

    I also just like chaos.

This one doe not specify that "re-posting the same topic again" would mean once the other thread has been dead for years and is out of sight...obviously nobody wnats multiple threads everywhere:

"I hate it, but feel free to repost the same topic again."

This option is made to sound cool and tolerant:

"Whatever bro. This forum is chaotic anyway."

    As is this one:

"I like posting in old threads."

And this one just sounds like a pessimistic, boring loser:

"I dislike it, but I'll live."

Hence I contend...your poll was loaded to ridicule the opposition..a travesty of democracy.
I would take offense. But given your rants, the "I dislike it, but go ahead" seemed appropriate.

It wasn't a parody. It was a hyperbole that was not intended to be humorous.
Excuse me, but does this smell like chloroform to you?

I absolutely love old threads. Brings back memories.

    Nostalgia!

Also it's nice to re-read what you have posted 3/4 years ago and to find out whether your opinions have changed or not.

And that day someone is going to revive this thread and it's going to be extremely ironic.

Though, the graveyard isn't for all of our old threads; it's largely for the bullshit tangents, personal asides, and groan-inducing discussions. It might be better named "The Trash Heap" or "The Exiled" something of that nature.
Yeah, but I saw another thread on there that had to do with the Xena Warrior Princess typings. Why was that in the graveyard?

It's preferable to people making 8 versions of the same thread.
