Default At what point does a good person...

    become a bad person?

When he or she thinks of doing something bad?
When he or she plans to do something bad?
When he or she prepares to do something bad?
When he or she first does something bad?
When he or she does not feel remorse for doing something bad?
When he or she continues doing something bad?
    Any of the above?
Or are there no bad people?

(Just a silly question that popped into my head and I wondered how various types would answer)

Too black and white, especially for a question coming from you.

How People Change by Allan Wheelis, Chapter 1.

Personally, the word "bad" is too vague to have real meaning or value.

To trace the remote in the immediate; the eternal in the ephemeral; the past in the present; the infinite in the finite; these are to me the springs of delight and beauty.” ~ H.P. Lovecraft

A good person? A good person?

I realize that my skepticism probably seems supercilious. But I really, honestly and sincerely don't believe such a creature exists. Hang out at a kindergarten for a few hours (unseen if at all possible) and see the human spirit in its rawest form.

Of course, this may just be the whiskey typing.

When they abandon reasoning and/or rationale.

But Good and Bad are SO vague and subjective.

When he or she does not feel remorse for doing something bad?
To me, that would be it, and this is the one I prefer to act on in my dealings. Although I am sometimes left wondering if "bad" is only relative to our own idea of "good," and begin to doubt that it's independant of our upbringing.

Interesting... I think I may see where you are going with this.

Although if my theory is true it's not really hidden, it's fairly explicit in your original post. It would also be a pretty good idea for a thread.

It occurs at the point when the person judging someone as good changes their judgement to bad.
