Default Elfboy's guide to getting lots of forum haters

    1) think of all of your most controversial, politically incorrect, potentially offensive beliefs and pick the top 5.
    2) make threads about them.
    3) be as unapologetic as possible.
    4) think of something(s) that you vehemently hate
    5) make a thread(s) on that subject
    6) every time you disagree with someone on something important, point it out immediately, once again, as unapologetically as possible.
    7) use colorful, passionate, evocative language

and there you have it. a surefire way to get yourself a coalition of legitimate, USDA organically produced haters. for an extra touch, you can also try being a provocative, attention-whoring cyber diva.

This is only true if you're not as charismatic as me.

why are your lists always truncated?

    Re-edit: I tweaked it a cockhair, but I could pare it down to a 1) and a 2) if I so desired.

    From The Book of Perch:

    * Make absurd, shamelessly offensive statements and generalizations. Revel in stereotypes, especially the ones that paint people unlike you as inferior to you.
    * Make sure every non-response to a criticism contains a barb.
    * Present yourself as the arbiter of truth while not even bothering to be coherent.
    * Even when people you dislike are absent, make cheap shots at them.
    * Express abject incredulity that people are hurt by your dismissal of them or affirmation of their fundamental inadequacy.
    * Abuse Godwin's Law. It's your best friend.

Also, make open attacks and insults to other forum members who brush against your ego.
