Being abruptly reminded of our own mortality can be very unnerving. I prefer to transform grim reminders into calls of action.

Well I don't know 100%, but I heard from some of the people at my work that he did in fact die. Also I witnessed his body on the ground with the ambulance giving him CPR and compressions to his chest. From what I learned through my first aid and lifeguarding courses CPR has something like a 5% recovery rate.

    He may not be dead.

It's kind of disturbing how life just goes on....

I once saw some flowers left on a corner by a stop light with a sign saying a little girl was killed here. I would have never known had I not seen that sign.
When there is death, the world stops for a small group of people. It's almost offensive how the world still marches on without a pause.

Oh well, then it must be true! haha

I'm good with the, "I heard from some of the people at my work that he did in fact die". That should be ok for the death cert too.

Seeing someone die puts things in to perspective, at least for me. I witnessed a dude on his bike get hit and killed by a car when I was a kid. My parents used my blanket to cover his body. Shakes you up.

This is because death is the only guarantee in life, and this world is full of life

I think the the thing that shook me up the most is that the world doesn't stop, not even for a second. The businesses still run, the pathway gets cleared up and everything keeps going as if nothing ever happened.
