Default Recreating Snorks: Good, Bad, or Other?

Snorks were popular during the 80's as an evolutionary off-shoot of The Smurfs but finally succumbed to the entertainment Snork graveyard before the 90's rolled around. However, with the Smurf evolutionary line jump-started by its recent motion picture, fanboys expect that within 5 years the Snorks will be cloned and live once more ...

...it's looking more and more like it is going to happen. They've solicited Smurfs for reproductive tissue from dead blue midgets to fill in the missing links for the cloning process. They're even working on recreating the species' animated habitat so that the Snorks simply have to be redrawn and inserted right into the digitized backdrop.

What do you think about this? Is this progress? Is this dangerous? Is this ethical? Is this inevitable?

whether or not they can, there's an entire long-running TV reality show that could be spawned covering the attempt(s). But it might have to be designated for Mature audiences.

Considering I watched "The Exorcist"; "The Shining"; and "The Howling" all when I was 6 years old, I am not qualified to weigh in on this.
