I am somewhat the same way but I can't handle the gore and I don't know if I would be psychologically strong enough to investigate psychopathy. There is a fine line. If you can handle it while keeping your humanity, pursue it! Have you done anything like the mice thing ever since? That's where people seem to have a highly negative reaction to.

I attest to know what I know based on what you have told me. Alas, with the detail you have provided, I have not even needed to read between the lines. If you want to be a medical examiner you should pick up a couple of textbooks on forensics and pathology and while you are at it - criminal psych. That way while you nurse your obsession into maturity you can at least be learning something useful. My guess is you will not find the visceral thrill you are seeking in the academic investigation and you will return to your original foray into the heart of darkness. I sincerely hope you disprove my hypothesis.

Again, welcome to the internet. Enjoy your stay.

Jeez, that's a little strong, don't you think?

Curiosity/a strong stomach does not a psychopath make.

And coming up with diagnoses over the internet is always a bit sketchy.

    And illegal.

Of course a layperson giving a diagnosis without claiming to be a qualified provider is just stating opinion. Harsh? Very. But I genuinely hope this thread will help the 16 year old consider the real motive and wether or not they are pursuing their interests in a constructive healthy way or something else entirely.

You probably didn't see the site. I can understand the curiority for what men are capable of doing but trust me, being smoothed by those images and videos means a lot more than having strong stomach. Plus, 2 or 3% of the population are psychos. It's not that uncommon.
