I remember reading that Chan got frustrated because Urquidez hit Chan a lot of times making the scene. Just what he was trained to do.

More classic JC. Master torturing student to learn kung fu. Best part of this really, really bad movie with good kung fu.

Freeze framing is a good idea. I like it how Jackie pulled off the drunk scenes by tipping his head until blood rushed to it between scenes. Ingenious.

Drunken Master 2. Great fight scene, love the part with Ken Lo (the guy with the amazing high kick) My favourite too.

Great thread! My best friend and I had mad, mad love for Jackie when we were around 15. We did everything and anything to get our hands on his old movies and pictures so you've brought back our nutso time! Everyone thought we were crazy since they were all crushing on Jason Priestly and Christian Slater and we were mad for '70's kung fu movies, Vedder and Cobain!

I learnt a lot of Japanese early on by watching dubbed Jackie movies. I even joined the Jackie Chan fan club. I still have my Jackie Chan keychain on my keys that I bought about twenty years ago.

    Love his style.

It's because he doesn't take himself too seriously and makes everything look so easy, when it's incredibly difficult. My best friend joined his fan club too although I couldn't get myself to go that far. Did you know he was a dancer so that's why he's so agile?

No, I didn't know that. I read his book, it was really good. Hard to come by now. And, yeah, it is the sense of humour and skilfulness. An awesome combination!

The animated series was conveniently overlooked.
