“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

    Thread summary thus far:

    Children make you happy.
Children don't necessarily make you happy.
Stuff about mental health issues and childrearing.
Cooking and eating children. Yum yum cannibalism.

While y'all are hunting down each others' children, I get dibs on Niffer's pet chicken.

Okay- Children increase or make some people's happiness and not other's.

    Because they find them annoying.

Are those annoyed also entitled to their perception?

And she and those cultures are not, however, entitled to unconditional positive regard or approval from everyone. Civility, certainly, but not warm-and-fuzzies no matter what.

With the exception of wolf, there's been no rude difference of opinion here. Mere disagreement isn't the same as disrspect. Calm down.

I had hoped to put all of this behind me , but I reckon you deserve an answer.

I said "I still don't get why some "enjoy picking at a "fluff" post (or "fluffies" in general)."

You replied "Because they find them annoying." Well, perhaps it would be a good idea to ignore/not read them if they annoy one. Why upset oneself and others unnessarily by making thread derailing or rude remarks?

"Are those annoyed also entitled to their perception?"
I would say yes. They are entitled to their perception. Nonetheless, my J tells me that they are not entiltled to "pick at", insult, harass, or otherwise denegrate those said fluffies for having different opinions, personality types, values, or needs. My J tells me there are some lines one doesn't cross, e-world or not. I like rules. I'm a J.

And seriously, are you defending people being bullied?

Furthermore, how can you can you say on one hand that other's who were annoyed have the right to their annoyance, and I don't? I was annoyed too.

As for calming down, I already took a walk around the block and had a good nights sleep.

Now can we all and make up?
