    Smile Jack burned for Netochka.

Of course Jack met Netochka in Moscow, was immediately taken with her, and on discovering that her name, Netochka Nezvanova meant 'nobody from nowhere', was her's forever.

Jack knew instinctively that 'nobody from nowhere' was the name of everyone on Central, for we are disembodied, time and space have been abolished, and we are all nobody from nowhere.

But when Jack discovered that, "Netochka Nezvanova", is the name of Fyodor Dostoyevski's first and unfinished novel, Jack became transformed into the burning man, burning for Netochka and for Netochka alone.

Jack may well have been permanently banned, but he has entered the Pantheon.

And Jack Flak has returned transfigured, transformed into a figure of the mythos. But most important, it is our mythos, we created it ourselves.

Joseph Campbell who wrote, "Creative Mythology", would be proud of us.

Yea, on that morning fateful, He dost come down from the trans't Heavens above us, and doth spake unto the world: "Yo, I'm so drunk right now; your terrifyingly painful memory is pretty fuckin' funny." On that day, he was't martyred.

    The Two Jacks

Of course there are two Jack Flaks. The first is the Jack Flak of history, and we can read his history here on Central.

And the second is the mytho-poetic Jack Flak. And we ourselves create the mytho-poetic Jack Flak. We create Jack Flak from our needs, our proclivities and our ideals. And we create Jack Flak in our imaginations.

Perhaps it is time to make a comparative study of the two Jack Flaks - the Jack Flak of history and the mytho-poetic Jack Flak.
