    Default Who Here Likes Picnics?

    i do!

i loves 'em. i try to entice people into them all the time. am happy to incorporate a hike, flower-picking, or nature-themed scavenger hunt if requested. of course, i live in a beautiful part of the world but even if i lived in Waxahatchie, Texas i'd still prolly go a-picnicking.

so for my fellow lovers of the outdoor feast: what's your favorite type of picnic? hiking/exotic/spontaneous/small/group? what foodstuffs do ya like in your basket? what's the most creative picnic you've ever been on/you'd like to go on?

I'm a fan of picnics. I especially like BBQing out on the beach, or at a park, but when we do it as a family with all the works and coolers and fixings and sit outside all day it is the best. I can't wait until my nephews are old enough to picnic with.

I've never been on a romantic one or anything, but I think that'd sound like a cool date.

i'm always planning them but would love to be surprised with one by a date. i'll take getting tipsy in nature over a bar ANY day.

^ Totally agreed. Nothing beats drinking on the beach or at a clearing in a park. (I live in a city, so these are about the best two places to go :3 )

I like picnics. In the winter I like having indoor picnics.

I've even had an outdoor winter one once or twice, you just have to bundle up and have hot chocolate from a thermos bottle.

    i do.

usually we buy a disposable grill with few friends and grill something in some lawn or park. some normal picnics would be nice too, but not many of my friends are up to that.

I don't know if I like picniccing, I've never done that in my life. I just know it from commercials and TV programs I watched when I was little. I used to wonder why me and my parents never grabbed a basket, put some food in it, went outside and ate the food sitting on a red and white plaid in the grass. But we never did any real family stuff anyway. Thinking back, I think it must be very cheesy and I'd only do it when I have a family of my own. I wouldn't want my kids to feel like they've been missing something.
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

Sounds fun.. but I seem to have an utter lack of picnics in my life.

Also, that reminds me, I need to buy a hammock.
